    Brocock/BRK Brocock and FX

When that happened to me on one of my Mavericks it landed on the barrel straight down and messed up the receiver, fun exercise replacing that. Gravity, it's a fatal attraction but keeps us grounded.

Jefferson State Air Rifles any good ?

There are only a couple of O-rings all standard and the regulator that, to my knowledge, isn't user serviceable, but the thing is build like a tank. I did have a regulator issue straight away but Matthew took care of it, you my have a problem in the EU, so check with the vendor. You can get a...

    HogKillers 2024 Season begins

Went out today to my permission, a bit breezy, only took my Maverick Sniper and my Tequila Gun pistol. Set up my target out at 70 yards or so and got it sighted in with the AEA 33.9's then switched to the 26gr RMR/FX hybrids got it zeroed in, weird thing was my 70 yard zero was different than...

    Servus from Austria

Well, it seems you are wandering around in the Rabbit Hole®. You will be forced to go deeper and deeper until you find the exit, at which point you will have found true bliss, or have had a stroke from frustration, one of the two for sure. I too have a few Mavericks, they work, it's a hobby...

    Slug accuracy thoughts

OH HELL YEAH! What he said!! Same for pellets, mag after mag nice tight groups then....a WTH what happened, slugs are worse but when they work, they work. I've had pretty good luck out of my (now) Maverick .25 sniper with RMR/FX Hybrids at 1100 fps, but I'm going to do something stupid and...

Is .25 cal at sub 12ft/lb effective at taking down pests

Pretty darn close. 53 yards, 33.9gr at 905fps muzzle and a solid body hit and they get back into their burrows.

Actually I wasn't talking about a pellet gun, you'd mentioned your 45, I wouldn't want to be in the way of a 17HMR. I have a heck of a time with the Ground Squirrels in my area, they wear body armor. I can imagine a darn Raccoon and a air gun.

    Bought acreage

I ditto Firewalker's comment...... Let's see, Collinsville, that's just a short drive from me, about 4 days, less if the state constabulary will let me move fast.

Small holes with a hell of a lot of velocity work well too but... our friend is in a country where butter knives have to be registered, almost like Calif. Personally I wouldn't go after a raccoon with a 12fpe gun, after I've seen what it takes to nail Ground Squirrels

Squirrel season in two days but...

They are literally trying to file their teeth down. Their teeth are constantly growing so they can grow too long then they starve to death.

Brocock/BRK Brockcock Sniper XR Sahara, newbie friendly?

And THERE goes his budget as he sinks into the mire of the Rabbit Hole® BTW the Orion mags are good, USA made and slightly cheaper than CARM's by a little....oh rats Orion doesn't make them for that gun.
