    FX New Maverick tuning thread

Thanks for the reply! That’s what I thought at first but this was a new reg, well lubricated and installed carefully. I forgot one important detail- I had put a 11 gram hammer weight installed ( over the old 7 gram). I know this will probably keep the valve open a bit longer( with the same...

    FX New Maverick tuning thread

I have a Compact Maverick .22, shooting 16 grain pellets. On previous tunes, ie rear reg at 75-76 bar, PW at 7 and ihs at 3 turns counter clockwise from full stop, I have been shooting in the mid 880’s fps and getting about 120 shots til I’m off the reg. My tunes are starting- At 60 bar and...

FX Need help with Wildcat Mk3 bt malfunction

I have a Maverick, essentially a Wildcat, and I believe the suggestions you make are the most likely the fix! I’ve double loaded a few times and also had the pellet in the breech, partially, where you can’t remove the magazine. Removing the barrel is easy and your method will work.

Barrels FX Maverick .177, 600mm barrel kit and probe

I’d like to go “smaller” from my .22. Checked with Utah Airguns and they only import the 500 mm kits and won’t special order any other, likely cuz everyone is going big on calibers. Any help would be appreciated!! Pat

FX Does any know the seal sizes for an FX regulator

I second calling Utah Airguns and speaking with tech service. They are master distributors of FX in the USA and handle all the parts for FX. They are very helpful!!

    PCP cold bore

Thanks for the reply! Makes sense! I was assuming that heat would be generated from lead on steel or “sticky” valves and didn’t consider the cooling of hpa being released.

    PCP cold bore

I’ve noticed that my Maverick PCP shoots the first shot 10-15 fps faster than the rest. What could be reasons for this? Leak in 2nd reg? Cold barrel reducing leakage? Just curious why this might occur….

    The 1st shot/Cold bore shot?

I have noticed that my pcp fires the first shot slightly faster, 10-15 fps. What would cause this

FX Fx maverick grub and adjust screw problem.

I am, too! There can just be several ways to “fix” this kind of issue and it takes time to learn the gun and the different fixes. The quick tune system just helps one aspect.

FX Leaking FX main valve and fix

It really is helpful! Thanks! I just understand the “why” on valve leaks. If if didn’t affect performance, how or why would I look to the valve

FX Leaking FX main valve and fix

So you are hearing a rattling in the body of the gun or a hiss in the barrel? Sorry, I’m just confused on why you’d look at the valve as the culprit.

FX Leaking FX main valve and fix

But what do you observe that indicates an issue with valve? Pellet speed? Shot variations?

FX Leaking FX main valve and fix

Can you advise how the valve issue manifested itself when you were shooting? What happened to suggest it was the valve?

FX Fx maverick grub and adjust screw problem.

That’s the only part of mine I’m scared to tackle……..so far! Not sure what I’d “fix” if I did!

FX FX Maverick Sniper. 30 regulator problems

Sorry, didn’t see this one! This is the right move! I like tinkering and can rebuild the regs. Get familiar with YouTube. Hundreds of videos on repair and tuning Most are really good, a few not so much but that is the exception.
