    How accurate is your chronograph?

Most are tuned to 10 - 10.5 fpe. They also have anti tamper designs on most and most people have a shop tune the airgun. Its much different than here in the states where we have no restrictions and can adjust things without worry of breaking a law.

    How accurate is your chronograph?

The constables have chronographs on hand to test anyone they feel they need to and they can test with what ever weight projectile they want. Most sub 12 fpe airguns over there are tuned to 10 - 10.5 fpe. to avoid a situation where a constable uses a different projectile or a 2% difference from...

    Coyote #9 - finally

Thats why I said "If you are talking about broadside". You didnt add any context only "no better place than an eye shot" which can lead people with little experience to making an "eye shot" when it shouldnt be taken. Just clearing up any confusion about shot placement for anyone reading.

    Coyote #9 - finally

Very bad shot placement if you are talking about a broad side shot. Look at that skull the brain cavity is well behind the eye when broadside. You will only hit nasal cavity with that shot placement. The pictures of the skulls the OP posted show a perfect shot placement for broadside head shots...

    .177 a 600mm or 700mm barrel and why?

Then I would go with 700mm. Easier to tune for high power which is what you want with slugs most of the time.

    1st PCP; projectile weight questions...

There is no one size fits all with pcp rifles and slugs. You will have to test to find the weight and size your rifle will shoot best. I have the 700mm panthera but its in .22. I do have a 700mm impact in .25 so it should be the same liner as the panthera. My .25 impact has the 16 twist slug...

    .177 a 600mm or 700mm barrel and why?

I dont know why 700mm would be too long for slugs for a .177. If you were setting up for pellets then yes 700mm is way longer than needed for full power pellet shooting. If I didnt care about over all length I would go 700 mm. If you want it a little shorter go 600 mm. I feel 700 mm gives a...

    Slug accuracy thoughts

My first go with trying slugs last year I had a lot of inconsistency in groups. I was trying the standard FX liners with hybrids since they are suppose to work with lighter weight slugs. Mine never did or at least not consistently. This time around I got the 16 twist .25 liner and the 16 twist...

Is it a .30? The .30 only has one port.

I never need to clean my barrel -- am I the only one?

rarely clean a barrel. When I do clean its because accuracy has started to decline. I have hundreds of slugs thru one of my slug guns and shes still hammering them into ground squirrel skulls past 100 yds.

    FX Crown transfer port

Different how? different than the impact? yes the crowns probe is different than the impact. Different like a pin probe? No i dont think its needed at all. If you are trying to get absolutely everything you can then its going to add a little but I dont think its needed for most tunes. I havnt...

    FX Crown transfer port

Correct. More velocity doesnt equate to better wind resistance with pellets. I dont know about .22 cal pellets and if they are different than .25 for the sweet spot. With .25 cal pellets in my rifle and environment the sweet spot in velocity is 880 - 900 fps for full value wind deflection...

    FX Crown transfer port

I only use the slug port on my FX rifles. The one exception was my crown mk2 when I tuned it for a 12 fpe .177.

My new airgun. Can you identify it by name?

Ya its pretty clear in the video that .5 moa accuracy being claimed is not true. I didnt watch the whole video but of the 5 or 6 shots I seen one may have been a hit but its unclear if it was a direct hit or the slug hit the dirt right in front of the can then hit the can. I didnt see any holes...
