Other Truth behind Macavity Arms Prototype Airgun

And Joshua777, the Aircuda didn't show up perfect either. It was delayed for quite a while with a really loud ping as I recall. They were just more selective with who got the prototypes and didn't just sell off the first production run to the public.

Disagree. People are always looking for something, true, but the purpose of a released prototype is to get feedback and make it better. Besides, there are not any "FLAWS" as far as I can tell. I don't know about the thimble but it's not a problem on my gun either. The people getting shotgun...

With the Hammer flying forward and hitting a valve, a set screw seems reasonable to me. My AAA Paradigm has one too, I like the added measure.

Gstrain, I found that the set screw does like to come loose but don't overtighten it, just use blue loctite if you need to.

FWB Am I the only one who can't shoot a FWB 124...?

I also have had a HW that my brother still has and it shoots a little smoother and a little faster but is much harder to cock and is not as easy to take hunting for a couple of hours. Very nice for a springer too, it is the 58S one. The 124 shot excellent offhand and I didn't use any ridiculous...

FWB Am I the only one who can't shoot a FWB 124...?

You might not be a novice but you are very unlucky. I have had two for forty years now and I don't know what you are talking about, floppy barrel lockup or a bad trigger. Mine shoot very accurately and smoothly for springers. The only thing that I never liked about them was that they were not a...

I doubt that your chrono would be off more than 15fps, mine have all been within 3fps of each other. Another way to check your velocity is by using Strelok and checking the drop between distances. If you input all the data correctly for the app this should be very close. Let's just assume your...

Evanix Should EVANIX Bring Back FULL-AUTO Rifles? (New Models)

This post should have just been a poll question, instead of the same discussion that has been going on for years. The result would speak for itself as to whether or not there would be a market for Evanix.

    Air Venturi POI Shifting

If you never, and I mean never, let your barrel touch anything it most likely won't come to life and wander on its own. It may sound like I am joking, but I am not. These airguns are delicate, especially the cheaper ones, and can't take the barrels being touched or used for leaning against the...

We are not supposed to discuss internals on here so I won't, but anything you can think of is usually, but not always, better than nothing. The times we live in.

You're right, they should have had a simple core in the moderator. I like how it goes on, a strong design. I just threw some simple junk in the moderator and it works so well I forgot about it, or mentioning it. The regulator adjusting is very easy and worth doing if you are not getting the...

Other Truth behind Macavity Arms Prototype Airgun

Some final points after going through another tin of JSB's (this time with good accuracy), and a couple more scope swaps. I am not going to talk anybody into buying, or not buying, this gun, just giving my impression of it. First off, it feels good and looks like quality. It's not a...

Mediocre guns...we have all bought 1 or 2

Yes, but... I have owned two for the past 40 years and you got to remember, back in the day these were the Caddilacs of airguns and I killed a lot of pests out to 50y, offhand, on the regular. They earned the hype by me, that's for sure. You are very much correct though, they cannot compare to...

Mediocre guns...we have all bought 1 or 2

I have not been beaten by a supposed "bad airgun" yet. I have gotten them all shooting well with a lot of time, money, or both. Were they worth it? Only to me, and what I learned in the process, a fair trade. I got my butt kicked by an old Mosin Nagant though.

An FYI on the Discovery 2-12x 24mm

The smear is light splatter from the illumination ON the reticle, NOT the reticle itself. Look people, I'm done talking about this. I mentioned it mostly because I saw it twice and no one else has said anything about it. To all the sticklers out there for a perfect illumination experience...
