This target was printed on cardstock and shows the clean pellet holes. There is no mistaking like there could be with domes that tear through.

+1 for using cardstock. Wadcutters leave nice clean holes. I print directly on it. The pack I bought came with different colored sheets so I could see which one was easier to view through the sights.

Light is just that, light. The colored lights work because they aren't as harsh as plain white light which closely resembles sunlight. Rodents know that they can be seen by predators in that white light, so they tend to avoid it. The softer light colors don't normally trigger the usual response...

Even though you're using a red light, turning it on only when you are shooting will tip them off. That's why they won't touch the bait while it's lit up, but the bait is gone after you leave. As large as they keep trying to make the cavities on these slugs, I can just turn a pellet around and get the same effect. Particularly between the 20-30yd range where they would be most accurate. Cheaper, too!
