Thanks for posting Joe. I've subscribed. I looked hard at the N Tecs but was scared off by negs on Diana in general. Maybe need to look again.

Yeah man it's the kinda gunstock you can tell wasn't designed by committee !!!! So many of them look like the main design goal was how few cuts can we make this stock with ?

Nice, glossy finish...Diana's entry Ntecs had a satin finish.
My Luxus Pro Compact (the gun you and jonnes coached me through to smoothen out, joe) shoots like a laser! Trigger is ridiculously GOOD. This is my only Springer out of 10 guns...if it didn't look good and shoot pcp-"ish" I'd have given it the boot. I think you'd really like it, joe.

There's a Walther LGV on AoA site that is damaged and easily fixed I'm looking Hard at ....Problems not the break or Beech ( I secretly like Beech because you kinda have more creative freedom ) It's the Crosstie shaped stock . Man if Walther had hired a good stock designer They would REALLY have something. ... There's a reason the Winchester Featherweight has been around 50 years . Classic design , beautiful stock . Same with the AA TX200.

No man I've only tried one time and after over a week of inletting and shaping by hand I went to shape the forend and there was a big rotten spot . Stock was ruined . It broke after probably 15 hours of rasp shaping and chisel inletting ..made me literally shed a tear or two . I've never done it again . I paid like 200$ for the blank which at that time was a LOT !!! If I tried it again , I'd use power tools to rough shape it .

Nice looking Rifle, I too like the satin finish. Sounds like it might be a good HFT/25MBR Rifle.

I suspect the Italians have invested in computer controlled robot milling machines that can cut out one of those stocks in about ten minutes. Same for finishing and checkering.

Yeah it's the original design thats a home run ! Serious man look at a Walther or even cheaper HW stocks . They look like a stock that has been refinished one too many times

Couldn't agree more! Those two, AND a Diana 340 Ntec. I own them all, great rifles! But I do have a weak spot for the 300S. Why? Well, this is why! This 40-year old FWB 300S of mine still shoots amazingly accurate.
