@ZekeZX10 How does altering the ogive affect the projectile diameter? At times are you increasing diameter by one or two thousandths? Or is it possible that the hollow point cavity is smaller or the walls become thicker?
It is more rounded at the top not so narrow. Base of the slug doesn't change diameter it's just the narrowing of the nose. So a 1.5-E Ogive will weigh less than a 1/2-E Ogive given the same length because it has less mass up towards the nose

That’s nice they are consistent. Just curious though, the Corbin press and die set lead and cutter are only $1699. I can also swage my 308 jacketed hunting rounds on the same press which is super awesome.
If I buy this press its because
1. its cheaper with the included 1 die set
2. extra die sets are 350 a set
3. no need for jacketed projectiles by law
4. pay its delivered
5. its a hobby, no reason needed - I might have the corbin press :) and got this cos .....
Its like having an expensive luxomobile but getting a cheap run about.
6. its a pain to reset the press again to do other slugs

But most of all its about having fun. You can get in the Zen when pressing out the slugs.
