Taipan Veteran standard accuracy

Missed a couple shots with the Vet standard in 22 JSB 18.13 yesterday. So decided to check my zero at 40 yards. It was all over the place, say 1 to 2 inches. I did put new Athlon Helos on it a month or so ago. Shot it without silencer. Checked and found nothing loose. Cleaned well and no change.

New/different tin? 

I've been amazed at how bad a particular tin can shoot, compared to a "good" tin. 

After the pellets I'd think dirty barrel, especially if it. WAS shooting well at one point. 

Try the simple things first.

I did just open new tin but my vet short shooting the same ones hole on hole at 40 yards.

I am all for finding something simple.

I've got about 800 or so rounds through it and cleaned the barrel very well with no change.

Well finally chrono today shooting 908L-914H dialed it down to 878L-884H and accuracy got much better.

The Taipan bores are tight and dislike pellet head diameters of >=5.53mm

I have the exact same Veteran Standard/Helos combination, and it's great. Mine is shooting the 18 around 890 I think. That's a good scope for the field, as the reticle remains usable at lower power settings, often an issue with FFP scopes.

Mine is the gen 2 4 -20 x 50 ffp APRS6.

I Do like it quite a bit.

Mine taipan is made in Ukraine and shoot outstanding I mean 10 shots under an inch
