I usually don't start off with a picture, but I didn't get a chance to take any at this match. So I thought I would put the one and only I have (which Butch took). This is a few of our hard working group doing what they do all the time to make matches go so well. Thank you Mike Massie, Michael Atkinson, Bob Benda. In the truck is Don Faulkenberry and Tony Smith. We could never get this stuff all done without you guys.:love::cool:

Airgun Community Support

After more than a 20 year hiatus from competitive field target matches and the Airgun world, I recently decided to jump back into it. BOY HAVE THINGS CHANGED! The equipment out now is insane. I can not believe the technology that’s being put into this equipment. My first purchase was a LH FX King in .22 caliber. Looking to use it in 50 and 100 yard BR matches throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Once I get that squared away, I’ll try my hand in a couple local field target shoots. I’m very thankful for this forum and all the help I’ve received from the Airgun community. Your support and willingness to share info has been a blessing. I’d like to give a special shout out to High Pressure Pneumatics(HPP) up in Harrison Michigan. Tom and Ken are absolutely incredible ambassadors to the sport. Their knowledge of the industry and theit outstanding customer service has made this so much fun. Sorry for the rambling. Just wanted to acknowledge my appreciation for everyone who has helped.

PCP Rifle  SOLD WTS FX Royale 500 .25

IMG_0418.jpegIMG_0419.jpegIMG_0425.jpegIMG_0422.jpegIMG_0421.jpegIMG_0423.jpegHi All,

For sale is a loved FX Royale 500 .25…..

In my haste I purchased two of these, one wood and one synthetic and the synthetic fits the weather up here in the Pacific Northwest better so this one is in need of a new home.

Wood stock is in good shape, shroud has some love marks and barrel blueing has faded but gun holds air and functions as it should!

Includes 4 magazines

I am thinking 900 shipped…..Would consider a partial trade for a 700cc bottle for an FX Crown.

PayPal only for pmt.

Do let me know if you have any questions.

PCP Rifle  NLA Last Chance - Daystate Wolverine R HP.22 Grey Laminate - As New

This rifle is the last of my collection I am currently offering for sale. I have had this rifle on the market for now several weeks, at hundreds of dollars below what I paid for it. It is absolutely like new and in pristine condition. It is deadly accurate.

I am not interested for selling it for any less than quoted below, and if it doesn't sell this week I am pulling it off of the market and saving it for a friend down the road that wants something really special at an excellent value.

This Daystate .22 Wolverine R HP .22 is in grey laminate as shown. Purchased new from AOA in October of 2023. It has been shot enough only to get it perfectly synched with the Hawke 6-24x56 Sidewinder SF 30 IR Scope and Sports Optics mounts/rings. It will come with the OdB moderator as shown.

Its preferred pellet is the H&N Baracuda Match 21.14 gr, though I have tried a wide variety from my vault. It shoots the 25.39 series pellets well, but not as perfect as the Baracuda Match 5.52 pellets.

The 18 yard set-up target is as shown below. The black and orange group shown below was 10 shots at a laser measured 85 yards.

The rifle and OdB moderator, shipped within the continental US via PayPal F&F of Zelle reduced to $1,400. For the Hawke Sidewinder FFP and sports optics rings/mounts, and including the Vortex anti-cant bubble level add $450.

Thanks for looking.......

JTS Pellets

I have recently tried JTS pellets, .22 21.53gr. I'm shooting them out of a Huben K1, 145bar, 875fps. They are as accurate as JBS or H&Ns, maybe fractionally better. I won't post groups so as not to embarrass myself. I would recommend at least trying them out in your rifle. As an added bonus they are snug in the magazine causing no jambs.

  • Question
N/A  Where to begin

I'm thinking of getting started with PCP. I've got fairly extensive experience with powder burners and reloading, and I've played around with pumps and break barrels since I was a kid, but I know very, very little about PCP. Just reading through the forum tends to make my eyes glass over and my head spin. I'm retired military, pilot by trade, so I can handle the technical aspects as long as I can get a good foundation started. Any suggestions on where to begin the knowledge quest?

Sad day for me...

All good things must come to an end? Perhaps, but for now I have to take a break from air gunning and video production. I have decided to unplug my YT channel because of some legal issue I am dealing with currently. I apologize if you are unable to watch my contents.

A couple of officers pulled up the the farm yesterday where I had just setup to do some pest control work for the farmer. Apparently someone had reported me to the conservation office about me shooting a specific migratory bird in my videos. I don't want to get into the details, but I am under investigation for not having the proper permit.

I was introduced to the farmer years ago to help out with some pest control work, free of charge of course. A permission that was a win-win for me because I have a private and secured location where I could set up target practice and some starlings shooting. Starlings have always been a major problem on these farms with their droppings that carried nasty diseases and causing sickness to livestocks. Not to mention property damage and crop lost for the farmers. The farmers were delighted and happy that I was able to reduce the number of some pest birds and scaring them away every time I was on site.

My only mistake was not knowing to obtain the proper documentation for this particular specie. And my wrong understanding that I was on a private farmland with permission from the owner to dispatch these pest birds. I guess I was wrong. I was told I didn't commit any criminal offence other than violated some by-law. I am waiting for the judgement.

It is very unfortunate for me, not because I was doing something illegal, at least not to my knowledge. I was simply trying to help out the farmer and to the public as a whole by using my airguns. Unhealthy cows produce bad milk and we the public could be drinking contaminated milk.

I am disappointed because when I first started my channel, my sole intention was to share my memories with my families and friends oversea and most importantly, for my daughters to be able to access these memories via the internet when they miss me after I am gone.

To my comfort, the farmers shared my frustration and offered me full support.

I am posting this not to get sympathy or to create arguments, but to let you guys know that I am okay and that I will be offline for a bit. I don't think I will quit this wonderful hobby of mine and certainly not to stop producing (selective) videos memory for my children and for those who care to share my experiences with air gunning.

But for now, this is a short good bye. Cheers.

Cleaning solution for rifle barrels.

Hello, I am new to the site and the forum.
Have a pull through barrel cleaning kit with no cleaning/oil solution. I use 100% silicone lubricant for treadmill for my rubber seals and such. Was wanting to know if I could use this for the barrel as well. My wife is getting mad because I keep $20 us to death!

RTI P1 Performance, it's 1:32 LR barrel - "light" slugs - anyone had any luck? ( and why do I hate MRD's? )

JSB MRD's in this gun. I'm trying to like them - I really am. But I'm not. Never have. I know - some (many?) of you swear by 'em. I just swear AT 'em. I've got tin's of 'em - LOTS of tins that I grabbed a year or two ago when they finally became available again after having gone off the radar . . . and I've tried on and off again to shoot / use them and - nope. Who knows - probably just me. Anyway . . . . I've got the subjected gun tuned for them at 955'ish fps and *in calm conditions" and shooting off of a bench - they are pretty darned good. I go out in the field (ie; at my farm permissions, shooting off of sticks, off the hood of my car, etc .... and it's a bit windy to boot ) - forget about it. I miss as many as I hit. My other .22 RTI, also an older P1 Performance but w/the newer RPB barrel in it - I'm shooting .217 25g H&N's @965'ish and that thing is lights out. And flat - 25-45 yards = my zero. I can just see a pigeon on a roof, silo - whatever - and "just call it" - if it looks like it's w/in 50 yards I just "shoot it" - 90 % of the time I don't even bother ranging 'em. That thing is awesome. This other one that I just put together with the MRD's . . . damned near every distance has it's own click value - ie; I don't have a flat range. If the weather holds up and we have FT this weekend I may just bring the lot of 'em w/me and let anyone that wants 'em take 'em. ( as you might be able to tell - kinda frustrated with 'em . . . lol )

So . . . purely out of curiousity I decided to play a little bit just now in the back yard with a smattering of lighter slugs that I do have kicking around. 'Twould appear that the barrel prefers .2165's as the two that did do reasonably well were both that diameter. Picture says it - 47 yards. ( there is a tree stump in my back yard - it's 47 yds from my shooting table - it's kind of my defacto test distance ) The 21 grain H&N pellets were probably too hot - those thing DO shoot GREAT out of a couple of my other guns - but at more sane speeds - upper 800's, low 900's. The .2165 NSA's in both 23g and 24.8g did 3/4" groups which I'm thinking might be worth looking more into. I've no idea how fast they were going - I made no changes to the gun - I tested everything at the "MRD Tune" - which is 950-955.

Long winded - sorry. So - just out of curiousity - have any of you with this barrel found any kind of joy with slugs? I'm 99% sure based on what I know about the barrel and from hanging out in here that lighter slugs are all that it may(?) sling with any joy. The barrel isn't designed for slugs and as such - not surprising that it doesn't like (most) of them - but I believe I've seen in here and on youtube where some have found happiness with lighter ones.

. . . . not sure what I'm going to do with it - it was my .177 slugger. It may become that again or . . . . . ??? ( if I can get these .2165 NSA's to tighten up at this distance and then hopefully hold a decent group at 100 - or more - maybe . . . it'll just become a "lighter" .22 slugger . . . ? )

Oh -- now that I've uploaded the photo below. The 20.2g NSA's - they were .216's. I wasn't sure at the time I marked up the piece of paper. Again - looks like the barrel prefers the "in between sized" .2165's. Aim point with all of the targets is the center circle.
