like the Crosman 2240 the pumpers are fully customizable and what it takes is a plan and lots of money
there are just a few of the custom shops that were around 10-15 years ago but Alliance Hobby has much of the goody's you might be looking for
the plan i spoke of is to keep you from doing it over and over again filling your parts boxes full of extra parts
you can end up with a 2-3-4 hundred dollar pistol
i have a 2240 with it's Swift scope is over 800 bucks
so set a budget make up a plan and build your pistol

EDgun Leshiy 2 Air tank - 300 bar carbon fiber, worth the cost? $300

Glem.Chally

I don't know reg pressure or jet size, I do have the REPR. Haven't taken it apart yet which strange for me because I take everything apart whether it needs or not. I told Brian I wanted to shoot hades and the gun showed up setup. Haven't so much as adjusted the reg. I did get the bottle from Spain because it was a little bigger. Without it I was getting 3 or 4 mags down to 200. My buddy just bought the NON repr version from Artnav3 and he gets way more shots at the same velocity from, 6 I think. He did lower the reg from where Artie had it. Artie was shooting 21g HN pellets, if I remember correctly. We don't know what jets he has but we do think they were changed because Artie sent him 2 jets with it and the gun was originally a REPR.

My understanding is that REPR version has a smaller plenum and runs higher pressure. His blows a lot more air at the shooter. I read somewhere here that lower pressure causes more noise and air at the magazine and that's what he has. We thought it was because the barrel wasn't far enough back so we swapped the back ends (complete stock/valve assembly) and his gun quieted down immediately.
What do you mean by swapped the back end completely and the Leshiy2 quiet down?

PCP Rifle  WTB Getting Back Into The Hobby!

Hi All!

Have been working abroad the past couple years and am back in the states and VERY much looking to get back into the hobby!

I donated my collection to a Veterans shooting group I supported before I left so starting from scratch so a lot of holes to fill!

Starting with air rifles so hoping to be able to source the following:

FX Crown 600-700mm .22 or .30
FX Impact MK2 or M3 .22 or .30 (700mm)
FX Boss
Daystate Electronic Guns (Red Wolf, Alpha Wolf, Delta Wolf or older models) .22 or .25
AGT Uragan/Vulcan .22 or .30
RTI Prophet (1,2 or3) .22
RAW open to caliber and would LOVE an Alan Z. tuned/shrouded model but not a deal breaker.
Kalibr Cricket Tactical .30
Original Kalibr Cricket .25
Edgun R5M .25 or Super Long .30

Also LOVE one off or custom airguns so don’t hesitate to reach out with others that maybe worth a look!

Just a quick note, I only pay via PayPal and please don’t take offense if I am a bit more hesitant etc. if you have no or low feedback!

Thanks all and very much looking forward to reconnecting with the AGN community!

Be Safe,
Dr. Mike Long

AEA  Fill Probe To Foster QD Conversions?

Im not a fan of fill probes as I seem to misplace them eventually.
Generally speaking, can a fill probe be eliminated and replaced with a Foster QD style filling?
Is it possible on some guns, but not others?
The AEA Challenger Pro and the FX DRS are 2 rifles that interest me, but a Foster style fitting would certainly be prefered.
Thoughts?

Other  "Sub MOA all day" Challenge

My JTS and AEA 18gr pellets showed up today . I had a chance to shoot a couple groups with the JTS pellets in the .22 Vet Standard . The first group on the left looks like it needed a few shots to settle in. Just over 30 yards here but looking forward to a calm day for the 50y challenge . Didn’t touch the scope from 18gr JSBs .

Yup mine both love the JTS 18gr. Curious on your thoughts on the AEA pellets.

Longer barrel, hammer spring adjuster, and the carbine stock would be a great start. There are plenty of other things you can do. Those 3 give you the advantage of a rifle for accuracy, the longer barrel will increase fps, and the adjuster will let you dial in the hammer spring to make sure you completely empty the valve.
Thank you Hold Over, I have the carbine stock but it just doesn’t feel right, I’m a pretty big guy and it makes me scrunch up. I can rest the pistol on a support though. I’ll check out the spring adjuster and barrel though. Is there a brand of barrel that stands out among the aftermarket offers that will fit in a steel breech?

Huben  First impressions of Huben GK1 .25 Shorty

The Huben pistol shorty is an absolute winner !!

I like how you got yours with the shroud really close to the same length of the tube.

On a sidenote just today I had to let my Shorty go to a new owner, .......the pistol was purely fantastic.
Thanks, that was something Kelly worked with me on. For a number of reasons I wanted the end of the air tube to be right around where the shroud starts to angle up and that’s what I got 🙂

I’m sorry that you had to let yours go, I had been following your journey- may another one be in your future.

Hatsan  New Mod 95 Vortex

Thanks for that valuable information. Is yours pellet picky?
Well, mine's a .25 and I shoot those lightweight unleaded pellets, of which there are only 2 decent ones: Baracuda Greens and GTOs. I also shoot home-cast tin pellets in a range of weights, and in general, lighter pellets shoot fine out to 25 yards (the extent of my range), _IF_ I do like Septicdeath said and shoot it regularly. I'd say not pellet picky but maybe a little hold sensitive? It takes me 10 practice shots to remember how to to float it in a proper hold.
But that's a .25, your .22 might like medium weight pellets and not be sensitive; only one way to find out!

Please welcome ThorMolds to our list of fine sponsors + HUGE giveaway!!!

Please join us in giving Thor Molds Inc a warm welcome!

Thor Molds Inc. is a company registered in the United States, with our production and shipping locations in China. Before registering the company, we had been operating on Facebook for 5 years. In these 5 years, we realized that we must have a registered company and website in order to better serve our customers. Our company mainly deals in stamping molds, we do not produce casting molds. There is a big difference between the two. Stamping molds have high hardness, and if used properly, they can be used for a lifetime. Lead is placed inside and then stamped into pellets using a stamping machine. High molding accuracy, without damaging the mold.

The dimensional tolerance of pellets produced by stamping molds reached+0.01MM, with very high consistency and accurate shooting

We also accept special customized orders from customers, but we do not accept orders that change the quantity of particles or bullet holes. We are a small processing factory, that accepts orders from all over the world (as long as your country has logistics services).

To thank Airgun Nation and all of its members we would like to giveaway 3 of our products:

(1) Press slug of any caliber (please refer to the website for details about caliber)

(1) 20 holes .30-45GR.

Slug accuracy thoughts

For the most part with my M3 700 mm barrel, 25 cal I shoot RMR slugs at 988 and get very tight accuracy. Then one day I'll have 3/4 inch groups at 35 yards and I'll be wondering what's going on. The next day back to tight groups again.
My pellets are spot on every time.
It's hard to beat that thud sound of slugs expanding in a pest though.
That sound of thud motivates me to persist in tuning for slug, no matter how frustrating it can sometimes be. Nonetheless, it's good to hear that I'm not alone.

Just an update on what I have done since that last session:

- Applied on the hammer adjuster screw a bit of purple Loctite. Just in case the hammer strike backed out the hammer screw.
- I changed the hammer spring with the tougher Huma's to give it more power because I feel my 12-gram hammer weight and the original FX spring have maxed out at the set reg pressure, around and about 140ish bar.
- I filled up the gun to 200 Bar and am currently waiting to see if there's any sign of reg creep and leaks.

I will tune the gun again soon.

Wish me luck! :)
