FX  Replacement stocks for the FX King

I am not particularly fond of the GRS stock on my new FX King. It is a beautiful stock but handeling the firearm I find a bit cumbersom.
I am interested in changing it out. I am looking at the Saber Tactical, but I am not finding much other than that. Again, I may just be looking in the wrong place. I really like the stock on my FX Contiuum and also the ease of carrying it out into the field. I would like something somewhat like that, or am still considering the Saber, although it comes with a high price tag.
So just where should I look?

Invicta Field Target match October 12th 2024

Glorious fall weather met the eight guys who came out to play for one of our last remaining matches of the season, with just enough wind for the lower powered guys to make it interesting! Brad was MIA due to being sick (get well soon) Mike was on roadie duties and Cliff was hunkered down in Tampa for the hurricane...

Matt Judd, our newest shooter, out for his fourth go around, took top honors for the day, he promised he will swap to another class next season, I think he wants to try and clear the course?

As I mentioned, our season is running down, and while I did post a match date for the end of November, I can see how it may be really cold at that point…… so it looks like just a couple of matches before we are done for the year, if we haven’t seen you much, please come out and play, you are missed!

Our State match will be on October 26th, it will be a one day match, and while I had hoped to make it a two day affair, life has just gotten in the way, hopefully next year we can do this, and also get the second course I kept promising up and running too!

Hope to see everyone at State!

God Bless
David Slade

The Grease cup on the GX CS4 is crap.......

how do I know if I have turned the grease knob too much or too soon. I think I may ahve put too much grease in. how do I remove excess?
It’s been about a year since this happened to me, so my memory isn’t perfect, but my compressor started to sound different, then I had a lower bearing on the crankshaft start squealing so I disassembled the unit and cleaned it out. I remember that getting at the lower bearings wasn’t too tough. There’s a removable port on the side of the compressor to access them and the noisy bearing was dry as a bone. Those particular bearings are not lubricated by the grease pot and do not require high temperature grease, food grade grease.

Getting into the compressor pistons and cylinders is tougher. They’re set up like Russian nesting dolls and you have to remove the cooling system and a few wires to get in there. It’s not too tough though. I’d say it’s about the same level of difficulty as working on a chainsaw or a small engine and it’s much cleaner. You’ve got to have a few basic tools and a little mechanical aptitude, but it’s something that most people would be capable of.

Beeman  .177 Beeman Chief

Bought one as a project gun. Was not expecting it to sound like a .22 magnum carbine. My god immediate fear my neighbors would call the police. Do any of you in AGN land own a chief, and have you any experience with the available Lane regulator? Is it worth the $85 to regulate? I'm waiting on the buckrail Moderator system to arrive Saturday before I bother clocking the shot curve. Anyone know which pellets it might enjoy?. I've got 10.3jts and baracuda match as well as CPHP 8's .

HW/Weihrauch  HW 80 build .22 long rifle.

Thanks again fellas.
Amen to both! What a fabulous air rifle.

Gotta be honest, I see a lot of custom stocks that to my eye are overly busy and not that attractive. This one is just sublime.
Thank you Mr, Driskill and to you all.
My Eyes see and , my heart fallows the old sporter lines of Weatherby , Fajen, … I love roll over sporters.

UPS - no firearms shipping policy

I have had over 40 rifles shipped to me over the last ten years,by all sorts of different shippers, even from overseas. It Is a non-existent problem for me.I am sorry some of you had issues,I must ask do this ,How do the air gun suppliers ship their air guns to you? Do the same thing they do
Air gun manufacturers and dealers have commercial arrangements with the shipping companies, so the carriers have assurance of legal transactions.

Theoben  Testing a seal adaptor for SLR 88 and the likes.

Ok ,got your attention now. MENTION SLR , eyes raise up..

So those who know ,know that ..
1. Theoben seals are like a fine women. … great when they are working ,but extremely hard to find
2. They tend to be soft and burn easily ( Probably from over psi for extra cowboy ft lbs)
3. One man has them and has a monoply on them and will not sell them UNLESS you send the gun to him .. oh yeah. THEY ARE let’s say $$$$ 🤬

4. AAAND , finely a poor design in my opinion. A soft cast seal that depends on a shoulder button inserted into the piston itself. I’m SORRY THEOBEN GUYS.. THERE ARE BETTER DESIGNS. Simple HW HEAD THAT TAKES A UNIVERSAL SEAL. 😉. ITS ,OK, Air Arms dropped the ball to,on their Pro Elite to. ( I’m firing lasers today 😆)
5. The Zepher or however it’s spelled. (Got to watch out for Karl now ) , DOES NOTHING for power . Nothing a standard cup seal wouldn’t do. Flame💥 …. I hear it now,, ” it’s for heat transfer”. …… “ it channels the magic air” ….. “it gives softer recoil”…..

If you believe that ,”I have some ocean front property in Arizona ”. GS . I’ll sell ya. 😆

SO , I’m testing a design I saw on a UK form that uses a 27.5 mm seal. ( fits the SLR AS IM SURE OTHERS WELL, EXCLUDING ELIMINATORS)
It’s a delrin plug with a tapped center with 4 legs that spread and grap the interior ledge on the piston.

This is a 12 ft lb gun, with light weight cocking and short stroke. Heats not a big issue . ( unless the power cowboys get their hands on a pump)

I am sure a O-Ring design would work well to. I’m not saying that if you have a factory gun this is a better Idea. It’s a work around without modifying anything on the gun,so as you can go back to 100% original if you want or find a factory seal.

For the record, If I owned this gun ,I would be shooting it weekly. I don’t watch them collect dust.. A TOOL unused is USELESS.

Am I planning on making them for sale. Nope. It was a work around until or ,IF ,THE OWNER WANTS TO GO BACK.

Just for you Theoben fans. I will do a post on the re build when complete. I’m doing full stock refinish and re- blue.

Came for squirrels, stayed for starlings

Excellent shooting on those yellow beaks!! Nice pic 👍. They are so skittish so to get more than one is awesome!
I was very surprised myself! First one dropped and the second flew off but came back and landed above the dead one. It was looking down at it and I took the opportunity. I lucked out that the third one landed just after the pics were taken. I took an offhand shot and hit it in the ass lol.

UPS - no firearms shipping policy

Easy solution. All your firearms purchases go through your local gun shop. It's been that way for a while now.

Would you deliver a gun to someone you didn't know from someone you didnt know? If you do you could be delivering a weapon to a felon and you could be committing a crime.

Why would UPS take that risk? Why would anyone?

Think about it from a business perspective. It's a huge liability for them. They aren't in the law enforcement business and don't want to be. Why would any shipping company take that risk? One incident could ruin their entire business.

It's an inconvenience to a very few customers balanced against the liability and publicity an incident would cause. Refusing to ship firearms between individuals is a wise business decision. Refusing to ship from a dealer that may be violating the law is a wise business decision. Refusing to ship anything that looks like a gun is a wise business decision.

I’m not talking about firearms, I’m talking about ammo. No license needed on a federal level, and states that require it are retarded. Same for states that view airguns as firearms. 🤷‍♂️

Yes, it appears to be a custom magazine. Davis (original importer) is currently selling magazines on American Airgun ads if you want some originals.
The pellet setup for good feeding is very critical and pellet specific... so you can't just randomly throw different pellets in it.
The magazine spring looks like it could be stronger than the factory one which would make adjustment even more critical.
These are typically very accurate and powerful rifles and pellet adjustment set properly... smooth loading..

Thanks Bob. The two pellets I tried were both on the shorter side. Someone mentioned that it like long pellets. I just ordered some longish looking Korean ones. Waiting on mail time to try them out. I might cut that feed spring a little shorter. Maybe just order an original mag. Don't like the looks of the aluminum color or the screw "bolt".

ShinSung  Shin Sung Career II help needed

So I scored a .22 cal Career II.
She's holding air and fires but the pellet feed is frustrating me. Tried a couple different shapes with no luck. Hangs up and jambs. Doesn't cycle em in with the lever. Does this look like a custom made magazine? I'm thinking it's the problem. Shouldn't it be black? Is there a trick I'm missing? Certain pellets?
