I thought shooting Raptors was Illegal on a Federal Level. Why on God's Green Earth would someone shot a Raptor? UGH.

Thought I’d revive this ol thread.
The RW is one of those rifles I’ve bought twice.
I converted the bottle to the smaller 300 cc and I still get over 100 plus shots with 13.4@815 FPS.
I was wondering if you ever experienced a point of impact shift as your battery charge / voltage drops?
Yesterday my 40 yard to 55 yard shots started dropping so much I thought I’d lost my zero. After some frustration I remembered what I learned from the first wolf…. A charged battery makes for a happy wolf but a weak battery causes erratic behavior.

Didn't you buy this gun used? If so that's like buying a Chevy with unknown miles and asking what that noise it. Then just returning it without any real investigation.

Well, I bought both so I'll be able to try them both and find out for myself.
I will say that I had assumed that the trigger on the earlier 300 would not be the equal of the Jr, but I was wrong. It is ounces light, clean and crisp. Very impressive.
Though, Randy Bimrose went through this rifle in 2011. Trigger work isn't listed on the invoice, but who knows?

Sure, folks will suggest the Alpha or Delta models because of the extended menu selections and settings but it will boil down to what YOU want. I'm happy with the 3 power settings (don't care to get a Heliboard). No choice will be wrong. I love the fact that since the menu is "short and sweet" the battery lasts for MONTHS which is converse to the Alpha and Delta models. Anyway, I have my analog guns set up and don't mess with them. I choose a pellet brand/weight and stick with it. Others enjoy periodically re-tuning but I don't.
I must say that I have found my gun to be addictive. I'm literally shooting about 1k pellets per week!

There’s a big female sparrowhawk on one of my permissions I’ve named Dash, as she’s often dashing off with a squirrel in her talons. She’s a strong one—I've seen her lift woodpigeons and even rabbit kits, something a male sparrowhawk couldn’t manage. I’ve grown quite fond of her.
I’ve also got a family of buzzards that follow me. They don’t take shot quarry but know they’ll get a snack before I leave. I’ve mixed feelings, though—I don’t want them relying on me, especially with shotgunners targeting raptors lately. I'd rather they see humans as a threat.

Whining aside the new FX Slug liner for .25 is pretty damned effective. I just shot it at my pellet tune. Turned up and down the PW for increase and decreases in velo. Was once told by a much better and more experienced air gunner, " if your barrel and gun like a projectile when they're not tuned for it, all the better. Shoot em wherever you're set and if they hold tight at sub optimal settings, you've got a winner, if they don't, write them off".. he was right.

Well I consulted 2 shops and 2 shooting ranges near me. Another issue that Jarnold mentioned came up, where can I shoot an airgun....I managed to find 2 shooting ranges near me that allow aiguns with a distance of 10 meters, and I live in an apartment so cannot use my backyard(which is legal here) lol.

Furthermore the shops said that I will have issues with the delivery since I'm not a certified weapons dealer.

Bottom line, I've decided to go with a .22lr until I have my own backyard

Easier and cheaper to buy locally.
No legal issues, although a bit more requirements, like registration(the shop does this for you) and a gun safe with separate compartments for the weapon and the ammo, which I would get anyways.
More parts and ammo options available.
Longer shooting ranges available for .22lr, more sports clubs and competitions, that are suprisingly cheaper to participate than for airguns lol

...will be picking it up on Saturday, but I plan on upgrading it with an MDT Oryx chasis, UTG 360 bipod, 419 30moa picatinny rail and I'm still thinking about a scope....

I am considering Arken SH4J Gen 2 6-24x50 or Element Optics Helix 6-24x50, these are decent "budget" options and can be found localy for around 500eur which is ridiculous compared to US prices.

If you guys know of a better scope alternative in this price range + - 100eur, suggestions are more than welcome.

Not in a hurry since Black Friday deals might come up.

@PARD_Tech i think a fix for these would be great ... now the advanced shooters (with probably more advanced budget) are getting excluded and pushed away from your products. I would also think about the option of moving whole reticle.
So the user recommendations are:
-Unlock or extend the zeroing range
-Possibility for moving whole reticle instead of getting the second reticle when ranging
-Have option for more smooth zoom with smaller jumps (but sometimes the quick zoom is advantage so would do it optional)

Fortunately for me, whenever i see pests at the backyard that need taken care of quickly, the first gun i reach out for is always the Umarex Notos, it's my lightest, shortest, most compact and agile gun i shoot offhanded, very quick to sprung into action in a hurry, the Notos could park for several days but whenever i picked it up for pesting, the very first cold shot is always head shot every single time, instant light out, the Notos has never failed me thus far. Even if the M4 never had this cold shot issue to begin with, the Notos is still my number 1 go-to for backyard pesting, 20ft-lb is plenty for the job and it never misses, no leak, no reg creep, no POI shift or anything, it just work!

I've always settled on keeping the M4 tune right below the plateau where it feel and sound most comfortable. Currently the cold shot deviation is about 20 to 30fps lower, not enough to be noticeable in close range plinking (910fps vs 940fps) unless i put it on chronography. The M4 is not a dedicated hunting gun or anything so the cold shot crap is more of an annoyance like having a tiny splinter in your skin Essentially, the M4 is something that I wanted, rather than what i need. I probably would just end up leaving it be, unless it's something that would progress and get worst over time.

I am still impressed with both PP700 and the PP750, I have set my two Hubens GKI 22 and 25 set aside for a few day to play with the PP guns, Got to put a muffler on that PP 700, Didn't see a Donny FL adapter for the 700? , I got a bunch of LDC on my PCP rifles but just don't look right on a pistol, I killed a few cans and targets today out to 30 yards , My eyes will not take me out any further with the red dots, I am not putting a scope on a pistol, They look way cool but -but just not me, Scopes go on rifles , But 40 years ago I would not put a scope on a rifle , Times change,,, And NO I will not drive a automatic truck, got to be Standard
