i shoot squirrels from the bird feeder to feed the fox family ,I've got a coyote that has learned sometimes pest chippies and sparrows magically appear and he and sometimes opossums get a free delicious meal. Little does he know as soon as I learn his habits, the main course is coming with a very fast lead dessert
Yes this right here, 27gr is not heavy at all, a stock setup would push these 1000fpsThe first thing you need to do is take all that Huma stuff out and put your stock components back in. Your 700mm M3 will shoot those slugs as fast as they will ever need to go in its sleep bone stock. You added some components that really mess with the ease of tuning the gun and the advice that can be given.
I had a red in scope and was milliseconds from pulling and I saw the hawk smash down on him in my scope. The Enemy of my enemy ,is my friend. He won that day. I commend him and walked away happy.Just testing my new slug liner in the field. The 1:16 .25 600 that UA said the ".25 superior heavy' has been updated to ... Actually works great. 28-34 slug hp, zan, and griffins shooting pellet sized groups for me. I've settled on 30gr Zan's, until I try some javelins but unless they group like 25.4 JSB out of a superior STX 1:24 sticking with the zans.. however. I just thwacked me a giant healthy looking grey through the noggin, and a sunnabitch coopers hawk stole him ..... Wtf? Anyone else have this happen before? Of course I've seen them take sparrows and other kills while pesting before retrieval but after sitting a while . This bastard took off before he landed. I'm willing to bet with the speed he yoinked mr.grey.
Anyway. I'm just blowing some steam. Crying like a unstable zoomer forced to manually calculate change at the register..

Little does he know as soon as I learn his habits, the main course is coming with a very fast lead dessertOne of the properties where I shoot ground squirrels has several hawks that have learned to sit nearby and watch for squirrels getting shot. Those hawks fly in very quickly and snatch the dead squirrels. Sometimes they even squabble of who gets the meal.

I blame Matt dubber and South African guys. They pushing their guns to the limit and hitting small birds 200 yards away. People see that on youtube and want to do the same. LolWhat others have said. I will say it a million and first time. People please familiarize yourself with your new impact and its capabilities straight out of the box before diving headfirst into all the power bullpoop everyone is convinced they need. No idea why this makes me mad as they aren’t my guns but it doe’s every time I read it.
Don't do that to me! Lol. It's shooting real good now. Don't make me want to experiment. Here’s something interesting that could start a whole new conversation. My compact 500mm .22 slugger is set at 142b and my micro is at just under 3.5. Your slug is a little heavier and your barrel longer but your reg is light years lower. But you need more hammer.
Keep waiting man. M5 coming 2025. Will see what's new they will upgrade to.I think I'll wait for the MK8.
I kinda agree with you on that..even Matt dubber and south African guys shooting over 150-200 yards. At that distance 50-70 fps slower will make a difference but they never mention it or show it. They only show us what they hit their target. I'm sure they also dry fire a shot or two to settle the reg before shooting past 100 yards.I have a theory about what befuddles you. When a certain reviewer was reviewing the M3, I saw his wonderfully flat graphs of his shot strings. I asked him to do a graph that included his first shots of the day. He still insisted there was no first shot or shots issue. His tuning process produces flat strings. But after some badgering, he said he always fires a couple dry fires to “settle the regs”. My guess is the majority of that 61% has the exact same velocity the next day so they aren’t being dishonest. They just “settle their regs” first. Monkey see monkey do.
I can almost promise you, if you tune an Impact on the knee, even with a peek washer or MKl plenum plug, you are getting slow first shots. Polishing the hell out of your valve rod is a double edged sword. You almost need it to be porous to hold lube and keep it operating smoothly. I mildly polish mine in the critical areas and use a special lube. Not silicone.
Shooting FT at places other than your home club or a nearby one is just expensive. Other shooters travel to Ohio from far away to shoot the Pyramyd Cup or one of the GPs, so I don’t think it’s about the Nats being in Massachusetts. You can fly to the Nats from Ohio for the same cost as I do from Texas.Myself and many others I know concur on this fact. The location is so far from even Ohio that the time and cost is far too great for what it is. There's a fair number of shooters in Ohio too, very few of which are going. Each other may have other reason but I know cost and travel time are a big one.
So which is it, loopy, droopy or a rainbow..lol.?Yup, it is the "go too" term for excessive long range drop.
Another one that bugs me is "Droop" when a gun shoots low but doesn't have a visibly drooping barrel.
Yes to both your questions. Egyptian geese are a nuisance and an invasive species in the state of Florida.Nice! Your background photo looks like you're on a golf course. Yes? Are those geese considered nuisance animals? If I shot a goose in Minnesota this time of year, I'd had to have a license.
