Well I just ordered a.357 mora sniper from tony (best airgun dealer bar none). I can get into details as to why but I'm sure y'all know already. Anyway when I get it I will do a thorough range test and welcome questions as I am still learning.

Carbon fiber tank size comparison chart

Yup, that is the part that will continue to garner my respect. Firefighters are awesome folks. I had a house fire in 2015, my home was built in 1926 and wood of course. My local firefighters were here within about 90 seconds of my wifes call, she could hear their sirens walking out the front door. Thanks to their rapid response my home was rebuilt and we lost very little, and nothing important. Most old homes burn to the ground, it cost 328 thou to fix it, but it is lots better now. My thanks always to the Longview Wa. firefighters.

2024 Texas Airgun Show NEWS

I hear that a very wealthy, Texas millonaire purchased and collected high-end rifles his entire life, right up until he passed away in July of 2024.
I also hear that his widow, will be attending this event, and is selling every one of her husbands 1629 airguns.
Many rare, prototypes and one of a kind Whiscombe's.
Shes not worried about their true value, she simply wants them GONE, and out of the house FAST, so she can make room for her Hummel collection.
Probably no truth to this story, but perhaps it will spark some interest in the event!

What springer did you shoot today?

Ok. NEWB question on Droop. I’m not sure I understand how you determine the gun shooting low?
Say I take a new pellet rifle and mount the scope. Weather it’s low, high, left, right. I adjust the scope to get it shooting where I’m aiming.
How then do I realize I have barrel droop?

By centering the scope before mounting it then shooting to see where the gun is shooting compared to where the reciever is aiming.

FX  .25 slug for foxes fx impact m4 newbie here id like to know which slug and tune setup to whack foxes up to 60 yards in .25

Might want to try Altaros slugs (boat tail). Not sure of the weight. Got to shoot a .25 Panthera with those & we were making shots out to 286 yards! You could contact Centercut & ask about specifics (it was his gun). Don't know why but 37ish grains is sticking in my mind but doesn't mean that's correct.

Drozd Bumble Bee help please

You could always try a generic o-ring & see if it works. Might be an easy fix. No harm in trying.
Well, I tried dropping a couple in but they didn't fill the void. Also weren't tight to the piercing stem. Seems like they would fall out with every cartridge change. Seems like correct one would be snug and captured.

Snowpeak  PP700 Why ?

Pp700 is nice but can't beat the pp750 or notos imo. I'd go with either pp750 or the notos. Win win
That's YOUR...opinion. Others have theirs...
And YES...it CAN be beat ! Go with what YOU...like, I'll go with what "I" like...ok ?
I like the PP700S-A...just fine...thank you.

Are Any Members Using Hunting Apps?

@Echo For scouting purposes does the app help you establish patterns of movement or does it simply act as a digital notebook where you can review what you've seen and made a note of? In what ways does it help you with scouting?
It can help in many ways. I haven't used all the features but it has several tools you can use.
Some of the stuff I use are layers which I can pick what I want to see. for example I like to use the boundaries of the units, trails, boundaries for wilderness and refugee areas. I also like to use the topo to figure out ways to walk the terrain and to locate good glassing points.
It also has tools that you can use such as measuring tools that will measure distances and areas. You can also build your own paths and measure them to figure out how far you want to go.

PARD Night Stalker 4K: the 2024 Top Digital Day & Night Vision Rifle Scope

Update:
Checked my DS35 and it has also a limit but -96 dots. Still not so lot but better than night stalker. I know something about software engineering etc but heck i have no idea why is it good to limit this.
@PARD_Tech i think a fix for these would be great ... now the advanced shooters (with probably more advanced budget) are getting excluded and pushed away from your products. I would also think about the option of moving whole reticle.
So the user recommendations are:
-Unlock or extend the zeroing range
-Possibility for moving whole reticle instead of getting the second reticle when ranging
-Have option for more smooth zoom with smaller jumps (but sometimes the quick zoom is advantage so would do it optional)
Cheers

Airgun Technologies  Vulcan 3 HP (high power) .30

Huma made me a custom one. It can handle pressure up to around 210/225 bar. I’ve worked with them in the past on prototype regulators. This is just a custom job. If you’re interested in one let me know. I’ll see if Marc will make one for you as well.
I would be interested. I am curious though with the higher pressures have you had any other seal/o-ring failures because of it?

Diana  Diana mod. 250 (two fifty) .177 cal. air rifle

I don’t have one, Moe.
Word on the street is it’s solid, budget friendly, has a long 4.3lb trigger pull and is great for 10m. Sounds like a good piece to start and have fun with. Perhaps not heirloom quality, but an opportunity to see how deep you want to go in that direction.
Good luck and have fun. R

HW/Weihrauch  Weihrauch HW97 K with 0.25 pellets?

I haven't any experience with .22 or .25 for that matter, but I do own an HW97K in .20 cal. It produces the same power as my 20.cal Sheridan pumped to full hunting load. I have killed many pests with the Sheridan, but I don't necessarily concider the 97 to be a good pesting platform.
The 97 is heavy and a bit clumsy requiring extra effort for hunting
My R1 .20 cal was stronger with more range than my Sherdan and was still accurate enough for headshots. The R1 was fairly handy in the woods fitted with a sling, I have made right and left shots with it when necessary.

I think for a larger caliber you need a different platform to maintain velocity, accuracy and comfort.
I look forward to seeing how this turns out for you.
