I’ve got the .22 and a Sumo on the way. Did you adjust the trigger? If so could you share results and how much you adjusted?Zelos .25. Tanto
Accurate and Quiet View attachment 485191I’m extremely happy.
Trigger needs adjustment for first stage length.
…I’m perplexed as to why the fill port cover leaves the fill port open to air …and dust.
It’s a shooter for sure.
Works like a charm. They really pop with a black background.nice tip
I have spring from a new never shot HW95 you can have for free. Just cover the shipping and it’s yours.
And you are right. HWs are known for having bad springs in the HW95s. Maybe other models as well. But I don’t know.
Either way they need to fix that issue. Period.
I wonder why they never made that gun in .22? I had the little Talon SS in my cart several times but I always thought the P was cooler so I refrained.

I'm aware there are good solutions. I'm wondering why there is a problem in the first place. It would be so easy to correct.
It's my opinion they should focus on those problems rather than new features. The guns are too darn expensive to have to modify them to get reliable service.
At least make them reliable enough to outlast a $150 Hatsan. I honestly don't think that is an unreasonable expectation when buying a $600 rifle.
The .25 is on sale from Battlehawk for $404 with $15 shippingZelos or Max 1?
1. Has anyone seen a sale price on the Zelos in .25 caliber, that is in stock? (Umarex's discount code on their own web site, does not seem to work for me.)
2. Does anyone have any details, on the yet to be released Snowpeak Max 1, or the Umarex version of same, such as (release date/ price/ Umarex name)?
I know the Max 1 is suppose to be almost the same size, same length, about 1 pound heavier, and a lot more power than the Zelos.
My plan is to wait until the Max 1 gets released, and then examine the Max 1 reviews, but....If the Zelos were to go on sale, I would certainly be tempted!

I read through the FX patents. They seem to want to cover anything and everything. At this point they may be able to go after Lewis and Clark for the rifle they took on the expedition.
I tried the Oil trick, I put some in the Male as well as the Female. It didn't work at first, but then I tried bleeding the line pressure from the Tank quickly a couple of times, at first it slowed a little, the second time, a little more, 3 times and now it does not appear to be leaking. I have shot hundreds of rounds since I last put oil. I was a slacker! Thanks for the Tip!I've fixed a similar leak with a drop of silicone oil on the male fitting before putting air in it. Could help.
So, what was the FPS before the mod with the same pellets?I did the 3/16" x 1/4" deep drill the face of the piston trick and it is a huge improvement in cocking effort. It ran about 385FPS with some cheap pellets.
You would think they would address the spring issue, but they won't. Their factory springs are too brittle and they snap at the ends, at least mine did. My 77K spring actually was pretty good and has several thousand shots on it, had it up to 937 fps at one time, now it collects dust in my spring stash. I use ARH springs as Jim Maccari knows how to make a spring last, I have broke one of his Hornet springs after thousands of shots but that was the only one. I use his smaller wire springs now, .120 diam and space them up in my 97K and they work good for me. Although I make my own guides and top hat, this isn't an option for some people. I haven't tried any of the Vortek stuff, so I can't comment on that. I imagine HW's production of the springs is for the fastest cycle time and tempering or whatever they do. But production is about time saved to make more products, so there's that.I understand how a fellow who likes to tinker with air rifles wants to "improve" them for special uses. And there is a difference in the feel of the shot. I'm not sure it really improves accuracy. It may if you lower the power that much.
My 95 has trashed another factory spring. Its the third factory spring in less than 10k shots. It's shooting about 550 fps. Yes the shot cycle is smooth. Yes it is superbly accurate. But you can't shoot it 50 yards with iron sights without using the entire front sight post. The trajectory is just miserable. It does not hit the targets very hard. It's wimpy.
The HW rifles have been more trouble than any brand I've purchased. I simply can't get one to shoot more than 4-5000 shots without a failure. And I've owned 4 of them.
I like the new stock design. It may sell more rifles. But IMHO they need better factory springs and dampening much more than an adjustable cheek piece.
I wonder if this new design stock fits the receiver in the rear? All my HW rifles have a big gap between the stock and the receiver that collects stuff. Even the synthetic stock. I've always wondered what the deal was with that gap back there....
My Hatsan has an adjustable cheek piece, thumbhole walnut stock, shoots 760 fps and is almost as accurate as the HW95. It cost me a whopping $150. In my experience the Hatsans have lasted about 8000 shots before spring failure. My D34 lasted 15000 shots between factory springs and I have another 15000 on a Vortek kit for a total of 45000 shots. It holds a consistent 675 fps. I've never had an HW rifle that would shoot over 650fps nor last longer than 6-8 tins of pellets before I sent it back for repair.
I'm all for more features and adjustments. New stock designs. Tuning and tweaking is great. I just wish they would focus on dependability and making a more utilitarian design rather than esthetics and extra features.
Yeah that's a good question. His message seem like he wanted me to send the gun to him first then he will pay. But no way lol.Why did he even bother contacting you if he had no intentions of sending the money? LOL
