thats my friend safari

check your guns and share your photo

So its a cosmetic thing and doesn't affect performance? Just trying to see what the issue is, other than a small nick in the pellet probe, which I admit isn't good from a "looks" point of view. The newer Daystates with the new style magazine don't have this issue... And the older mags like yours can be "fixed" with a dremel and five minutes time... Just grind that sharp "hook" piece in your photo so its more rounded. Not too much, or the mag won't work properly. Grind a bit, check, grind a bit more, check, etc.

I believe the point is, and I've made it before as well, a magazine which causes damage to the gun, is a design flaw and should have been covered under the warranty. Personally, during the first 3 months I owned my Renegade I had to replace the breech seal 8 times because they started leaking, and accuracy got worse as the shot count progressed from beginning to end using the magazine. I used a Dremel on the magazine and in 4 years since, I have not had to change a breech seal. Accuracy is now constant from the first shot to the last using the magazine.

This photo was taken after only 3 months of ownership:

Hey guys it doesn't matter if the gun damages itself. It's a "non issue".

If an FX did this they would be screaming it from the mountaintops, but because it's Daystate it's sooooo minor, who cares it's only cosmetic!

😁

Just grind off parts of your 3k$ gun with a dremel nothing to see here.

Many things need a bit of work. I bet you've done some on your FX. Should this have been anticipated/corrected by Daystate? Seems so. Does it affect the performance of the guns? Doesn't seem so.

Yes, concur, they should replace the magazine if it is causing this issue - and the issue bothers the owner... Totally agree. Now here's the tricky question. Have you asked this of your dealer? I am assuming since it means so much to you that you have already asked, and weren't satisfied with the answer. Why else would you be posting about it and not saying what the results of your request was? So what did your dealer say? I'm not sure this has caused any broken pellet probes? Anyone, anyone, Bueller, anyone???

Of course, its nothing like the new FX M3 with the hole drilled too far, allowing the air pressure leaks from the breech, directly from the factory on new guns...? And then FX telling owners to "just epoxy the hole so it doesn't leak anymore". Yeah, no factory is exempt it would seem...
