None of this matters. That group that we cannot even type the acronym for in here can re interpret rules at anytime they feel fit. This wouldn’t be the first time.
And THIS is why elections are so important. Three letter agencies thrive when those in power give the go ahead for these agencies to interpret laws as they see fit. One group reigns them in and the other sets them free. And everyone here should remember that. But god forbid that we mention any such thing on airgun forums because, you know, it could be construed as politics.

That the feds would destroy this man’s business because of the actions of someone completely out of the realm of the airgun community should have every single airgunner running to join the NRA or any other organization that helps to preserve and promote the shooting sports.

But we all know that won’t happen, don’t we? Because if there’s one thing airgunners are good at, it’s sticking their heads in the sand and pretending that they’re somehow special and immune from the potential hardships that could be brought upon them through capricious governmental overreach.

I mean, we’re gentlemen shooters. Governmental agencies would never target us, would they?

Would they?

I got a positive thought..is for a fact they were working on a new design of ldc .. so maybe he send the last of his batches to the retailers who still sell them if is on stock.. and he is waiting for the the new ldc design to arrive..for the new website.. because if there were in fact banned no body in the US would dare to risk a business by selling a banned by law item..

Oh, no, this is so much worse than you all think. Realize this, the Donny you know is gone. Obviously, this is the work of aliens. If the X-Files has taught me anything, it's that there is a secret cabal in the government in league with the coming invasion. This is how it starts, they replace "regular" humans with aliens. That list of customers is probably going to used for their probing medical experiments. Hopefully, no one here owns the DFL Fat Boy.

Don't be preposterous! He was simply gagged and bagged off to Area 51 to reverse engineer UFO silent rocket motor technology. The M.I.B. got what they needed, wiped his memory and dropped him off somewhere roadside in FL.

I think a certain three letter government agency has been flexing it's muscles lately and using the interpretations of the laws to extend their reach. SCOTUS has recently chastised them for that.
I think you're thinking about last summer's SCOTUS West Virginia VS EPA court decision regarding Chevron Deference.

The court case did not involve the Ethanol, Nicotine, and Boomstick guys BUT same SCOTUS criticism of Chevron Deference applies to them. Regards

Well the guy was all about the money, making a big website and tons of high end marketing,......see what happens !?!?

Stay humble, use the word of mouth in the comunity and you'll be allright.

If I mention my LDC guy the wast majority would not even know who he is, because most think DonnyFL is the only one around since he goto so big and popular,....ho well.....

Have no love for the three letter organization. How easy would it be to mount a well made Donny on this weapon? Firing subsonic .22 ammo would probably not destroy a modified Donny by replacing the felt with a more robust substance. Donny's stuff was just too well made. This is why many manufacture's either use plastic or "permanently mount" by using some sort of epoxy (Weihrauch) or an integral part of the weapon like the Gammo Urban. I have several of Donny's products and they are very well made. I do not own any powder burners that have the capability to have a silencer added. If I had a .22 with the same tread pitch, it would be very easy to modify a Shogun to work on subsonic ammo without destroying the "LDC". This is why Donny got hit. It is what it is. Also, none of my Donny LDCs say "For Airgun Use Only".

It was my understanding that Air Gun Silencer's used different threads than a Firearm and also my understanding that this is the basis for the legality for Air Guns?

The 3 letter agencies can assemble adapters to test a moderator on a firearm. There is case president that allows them to dig through everything they have in their vast evidence lockers to make it work. If the moderator lowers the db of a powder burner one time they define it as a suppressor. The grey area from what I understand is the intent. They aim to prove you had the knowledge and intent to use an air moderation on a PB. But then again Im not a lawyer.
