I see AOA has a HW90K, does anyone know anything about this gun? I don't see anything on Weihrauch's web site on it.

Specs say it's a 12" barrel so it must have some sort of moderator. Of course AOA has no actual or updated image of the gun, just a standard HW90 it appears.

I wonder if you need a winch to cock this thing? Interesting gun.

If you want it, go for it. Despite the hate it gets sometimes the 90 is a fantastic gun IMO. Even pumped up for high output I have no trouble cocking and shooting it. I'm 35 though so take that for what it is. If that picture is accurate and does not come with a moderator go for the full length if you want the POWA! It'll make cocking it so much easier. Final note on the 90... The Elite trigger is great. It isn't a 10oz rekord but its still very good and consistent which is what a good trigger really boils down to.

Found it listed on the Weihrauch UK website. Sweet looking setup-

I thinking if you don't invest in a huge and pump to " adjust" it out to your liking with this gun ..

Yeah they're must haves but If you already have a PCP hand pump all you need is the cheap adapter and you're all set. From there you just shoot the gun over a chrono and tap the schrader valve to relieve some pressure until its to your liking.

Another great thing about the 90 is that it is the EASIEST of the HWs to tear down in my books. Relieve pressure, remove screw, tap out the pin and done. No preload to worry about so putting it back together is just as easy.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the "K" model other than what has been stated here, but I can certainly vouch for the platform. I LOVE the HW90's. The triggers are not as good as a Rekord or AA-CD, however they are plenty useful and with a bit of effort, can be very good indeed.
The adjustable gas ram is still my favorite system for any spring powered air rifle.

I want a gas ram version of the 50S.... Weihrauch get on that.

Another thing hw has a advantage is it's serviceable and a bit more robust..

My hatsan ram is adjustable but not as serviceable.

You get a pump and gauge and get out there and shoot a favorite pellet and tune to it you'd be hard pressed to get better in something else.

Don't forget pa got 90' in referb s if you want to chance that for a little discounted price

The HW90K with a reduced 12" barrel will likely be hard to cock vs. most other guns. However, because the HW90 is a gas ram you always can reduce its power to manage, and the moderator will help. If you want the HW90K mostly for its power, then count on consistent hefty cocking, more so than your HW80.

Can’t speak on the HW90k but do have and really enjoy My. HW90. 22. I have pressure Down to 19 bar. And still shooting A 16 gr at 21 ftlbs Note. Not my everyday shooter. it’s not bad but You know you are jacking a power house for me just enjoy an after noon of plinking. The HW 95 or HW 50 . But with be said I can’t imagine not having the HW90 😃😃

They seem more popular in the UK.. maybe at there reduced power levels .. idk 😐

I'd think to adjust the power to your pellet and use. Some jack it up and just get poorer results.. more a shoot , adjust a fine tune to your need weather power up or down.. then could be just a 1/2 psi could be the big difference.

A pcp pump will work but a shock pump ( be sure it meets the rams bar requirement , some are short ( like one shock pump maybe 300 bar but another is a 500bar for a example sake).

Anyway the shock pumps a more controlled pump at lower then pcp need . Also there a bit cheaper then the hw one..lol

Being on on a backup device cause of that pain in the a§ are you a robot mess I can't add the link or pictures I got on that.

I e-mailed AOA this am about the moderator. AOA (bless them!) responded instantly.
" As for an extension, we carry the 16mm moderator, but I would not recommend using it to cock the rifle."

Apparently, the US shipment does not have a moderator. That would put it outside my ability to easily cock the rifle.
The slip on or screw on type ?

My bad on the pump. That's a 500psi (34.5bar) shock pump that gets you just above the 26 bar hw ram max bar of 26 bar..

Looking at the UK version, I think (always dangerous) that there is a collar on the muzzle just before the moderator, so I think (again dangerous) that the UK version is threaded. That would make it possibly acceptable to use as a cocking handle. I really suspect that Weihrauch would not design otherwise.

I bought a .20 bbl to use with my HW90s from TW Chambers. Maybe moderated carbine barrels will come available.

I had a Rx1 in twenty a few years ago. It was neglected for almost 20 years and needed some work. Took a bit to get it right but it was quite a rifle when it was. I've always said the rifle and trigger we're underrated. Most of the internet information on the trigger adjustments back then was wrong. It was so big and heavy that I nicknamed my Rx1 "The Monster". Its bigger, heavier and more powerful than my R1 while being easier to shoot accurately. Mine like a lot of the earlier guns was overcharged and quickly burned out the piston seal. It was making 24 fpe in 20 cal!

I heard that the gas ram in the HW90 cannot be adjusted. I know the version in the Beeman RX2 is the exact Theoben gas ram and can be adjusted. I have a Beeman R1 (HW80) in 20 cal carbine and it's hard to cock but manageable.
You heard wrong. All the Hw90/RX series can be adjusted by how much air you charge the cylinder. Weihrauch produced the Theoben piston under license
