Is this appropriate lube for Airgun use?

Hello all,

I picked up a bottle of this at my local tractor supply for less than $5 (do not go shopping while bored) and was wondering if this was safe to use in my multi pumps/co2/pcp’s.

I don’t have any springers at the moment so I’m mostly looking to lubricate pumps, orings, seals, trigger, and hammer etc.

Thanks for the advice and info :)

Maybe best to list your pumpers and ask what folks think or recommend for each outside your guns user manual recommended stuff.. pit the wrong stuff in something and it may be a mistake then you'll be hunting rebuild kits for seals ...🤤
Good point :ROFLMAO:
In the stable now is a QB78, Bara 1100z, Daisy 880, crosman 1377, and Beeman p17.

Thank you for the advice, probably going to exchange this
Hang on now...

Here the guy says motor oil in the manual on the 880

The crosman manual says pelloil every 250 shots ( page 1 - paragraph 7)

Like I said go read your manuals and there available on line for download to read ..

The QB seems pelloil as well

I'm sure the other 2 you can find these things out yourself ?

First, Do not use motor oil with hpa/pcp's. Pure silicone oil or grease (Divers grease) when it comes to o-rings and such within pressure vessels of pcp's.

That 30wt non detergent (ND) is perfectly safe for lubing pumpers and CO2 guns. Gets a little thick if the temps really drop (like 32°F), but other than that, no issues. There may be better stuff out there, I'm sure. But seems like a few years back they did NOT recommend oil with detergents in pumpers and CO2 guns...

Thank you for pointing that out, I should’ve started out by saying I do have access to pellgun oil, but it is a little expensive for the amount of quantity you get. So I was hoping to find a safe but more cost effective solution for lubing and rust prevention.

Gotcha, seems like this will be OK for my QB 78 and pumpers, I’ll source, some divers grease for my Barra 1100z. Do you have a preference when it comes to lubricating moving parts like the trigger assembly and bolt or hammer?

I've been substituting synthetic transmission fluid for Crosman Pellgun Oil for years now in my C02 guns to keep the seals in shape with good results. Way cheaper and locally available. Just the usual drop on the tip of the neck of the cartridge.
Would that also be good for lubricating metal parts (trigger, bolt, etc.)? Sounds perfect for my QB78 since I like to put a drop of pellgun each time I re-gas.
