Lots of AI bots on here lately it seems

Anyone else notice this? They join then make random post often in the wrong sections with long segmented post often times referencing outdated things as if they were current. Most of the post reads good but there is always 1 or 2 lines that make no sense at all. All seem to be from Texas or Arizona lol.

This one seems suspect. The OP also never replied back.

Anyone using the air guns more lately?

Just wondering if any of you air using air guns more during the quarantine? With the scarcity/cost of ammo, social distancing, ranges being closed and people stuck at home, this seems like the perfect time for air guns.

@Neu How do you identify a bot’s post? It’s evident that they’re here everyday. The site software indicates their presence. If there is a recent influx, perhaps the fact that the holiday season (contributing to the bulk of retail sales) is upon us.

I have reported one, like I said it's just little things they are very specific about product names even if it has nothing to do with this forum. To me it just seems like a 10 year old trying to act like an adult all looks good but a few things are off, perfect sentence structure in one paragraph then a sentence in the next that's all kinds of wrong but perfect after.

THe A.I. Bot threat is very real, and the dang things learn from your interactions with them. Please do not publicly list the tell tale signs that signal a BOT. Don't feed them, beat them.

Remember, the first rule of FIGHT CLUB is you don't talk out loud about FIGHT CLUB :)

I reported one I thought was showing signs of being an AI robot entity. Don't know if I was correct because it seems that an actual human took over at some point. So, as Moderator 3 says, don't feed them.

I haven't seen any posts from that "person" in a while...

If your instincts detect something is off, then you are probably correct!

@pnwairgunner To scam and defraud people without being able to connect the account to their true identity or location. Selling people double-boxes 2x4s or receiving shipped guns to say that they never arrived and want a refund from the seller. When one account is banned some go to the next bogus account created 3 years ago but currently has 9 posts.

Same as always so they can gather info and data, there is a huge industry that just does that and then in turns sells that to marketing firms ect. Before long it will not be distinguishable from real people.

I love the invent of the Internet and technology but it's a blessing and a curse it has pretty much just turned into a big marketing place to get people to buy crap they don't need and influence people to think and act a certain way ie Fakebook instafake Twatter ect. Well I'll stop my rant now lol....
