I'm coming late to this party but I'll throw in my .02 cents. It is my personal opinion that unused in the bottle compressor oil does not deteriorate or have an expiration date. My Alkin is 5 years old and only has 20 hours runtime total. I changed the oil after the first year but only change my oil every other year now since it's only running about 5 hours per year or less. Even after the last oil change at 2 years the drained oil looked almost new.

IMHO, discarding a partially unused gallon of $80-160 compressor oil is flushing cash down the toilet. The only beneficiary is the oil retailer. If anyone prefers to discard "expired" containers of Anderol 750 or Secolube 500 please send it to me and I'll dispose of it safely. ;)

I looked over a few sites and see that the Alkin W31 Mariner is now priced at over $4k. I’m seeing $4100 and $4250 before shipping. I’ve seen them as high as $4900 at Pyramyd AIR. Baked Airguns still seems to have the best deal eating up to the first $300 of your sipping costs. When I ordered mine four years ago it was priced at $3250. I paid about $275 shipping for around $3550 total. It has proven to have been a great investment considering that I shoot more big bores and use more SCBA ranks than I had when I purchased my compressor. Looking back I’m glad that I budgeted and purchased when I did. I now have a little over 6 hours on it and so far it’s been trouble free. My only issue was figuring out how to change the oil and top off multiple tanks. Mine has been a reliable unit.

A top off from 3200 to 4500 psi ; about 7 to 8 minutes . Then a 10 minute cool down and drain the filters . 04/01/2016 to 02 /14/ 2025 = 49.5 hours.

My Airetex is what Alkin was called before they established a presents stateside. Best investment I ever made as far as air guns are concerned .

much enjoy my W31 full auto upright
Monies well spent

How long do Alkin owners run their compressors per fill (top off) session?
I'm around the 10 min mark when I'm filling my carbon tanks. Tbh it's such a good machine. I used to worry about air when I first started the rabbit hole of pcp - hand pumping. Alkin is top notch and it's a great investment.

I've actually seen some alkins on Facebook marketplace for 3k with barely any time on the clock. Great deals. Don't really need a 2nd one.

I fill three great white tanks, and three football size tanks to 4800 PSI with my Alkin W31 upright, After each fill my Alkin stops I then have connect other bottle and restart it, , I do bleed the lines after each tank just a little, My old Shelden compressor used to use Mobil one Jet oil, Not as expensive as the Alkin oil but still $$$ for oil.

I spoke with Aydin at Alkin US recently and was told that they no longer use or sell Anderol 750 or Anderol 755 for Alkin compressors. They are now recommending something they call ”Alkin 100” compressor oil. The reason stated for the switch was that their tests concluded that the breathing air quality was better using Alkin 100 oil which he stated was a full synthetic oil. To order you have to call until they do something with their mobile site (not sure how it looks on a desktop). The pricing quoted to me is is $160 per gallo, $44 per quart. This does not include shipping.

I’ve read the documentation for Anderol 750 which was listed as a diester synthetic oil from what I recall. Here is the product data sheet that I read about Anderol 750 https://anderol.com/pds_api/handler.php?task=dl&hash=bf0701af5a59e9a7100d3d0f34cc5d2b7dd907e0 I have not seen a data sheet for Anderol 100 oil. After running a search engine search Pyramyd AIR and Utah Airguns are selling Alkin 100 with a description that still reads Anderol 750/755. On Alkin US mobile site it takes you to this page when trying to click on the oil to purchase online. https://www.alkinus.com/parts

If you click the above link a “Get A Quote” box pops up.

A search engine search lead me to this Alkin page where it can be ordered. https://www.alkinus.com/product-page/anderol-750-compressor-oil

I have a feeling there’s more to this. Judge for yourself what you should use based upon what is called for and the composition and viscosity of your chosen compressor oil.

Thanks for that update Ezana4ce. I still have half a gallon of anderol 750.. don't really want to toss it as it's good for at least 2 more oil changes.
@Skydivingmiami I wouldn’t waste it. I asked am I still good to use what’s left of mine and Aydin said it’s fine. I ordered some of the new stuff too because I can’t find any Anderol at a decent price per gallon. I saw a quart somewhere for $45. I ended up paying g $180 for a gallon of this stuff. That included $25 shipping. I shouldn’t have to buy any oil for a couple of years.

Thank you Ezana, I appreciate the info. Im going to just use what I have and when its time order the new stuff.

I’m going to be honest with y’all. I know I seem like I may come down hard on businesses sometimes, but I DO NOT LIKE FUNNY BUSINESS. I value good customer service and honesty. I noticed that something has been going on at Alkin in New Jersey recently. What is going on exactly? I do not know.

First off, when I noticed there was not any way to order Anderol 750 via Alkin I called. No one answered so I left a voicemail. My call was not returned. I waited maybe a week and called again during business hours. I pressed the button that was indicated for “customer service“ through the automated system. It went to voicemail. I hung up and called again. The same thing occurred. So I called again and selected the option to reach the sales department And what do you know? Aydin answers the phone. I asked about the oil and that’s where I received the information I posted last time. I alerted him to the issue of trying to order oil via their mobile site and it taking me to a “get a quote page,” his response was “I’ll have to take a look at that.” I just checked it again and nothing has changed.

Also I have my suspicions about this Alkin 100 oil based upon what I was told versus what I have read, namely his claim of Anderol 750 not being fully synthetic. I mentioned this before in this thread. Tonight I looked at the price of Alkin 100 and it has increased to $210 per gallon.

I thought it might be a mistake so I changed the quantity and these are the new prices:

$450 per 2.5 gallons

Price per quart $95
IMG_8071.jpeg

These prices are a bit ridiculous. I’m not even sure if shipping is included in this above pricing. I know there have been recent tariffs imposed, but I’m pretty sure they’re still selling oil that was in stock. If they’re smart they’re buying this stuff by the drum which is a 55 gallon barrel. This feels like price gouging to me. The new 1 gallon bottles look like clear bulk bottles that are filled from a drum and have printed labels that are slipped or glued around the bottle and used to brand someone else’s oil using the Alkin brand name. Why do I believe this? Because I used to purchase these sorts of bulk products.

I could be wrong, but something feels off to me. I like my compressor, and I’ve head great experiences with this company up until now. The people I dealt with in the past no longer appear to be employed there except for Aydin. Now things are starting to feel slimey to me. I advise that you all proceed with caution. If something doesn’t feel right, ask questions. If the answers don’t sound right, hopefully you have a backup plan and take your business elsewhere.

As proof of some of what I’m saying, here is a copy of my invoice with personal information omitted. Look at the date. That was 9 days ago.

wow, thank you for the warning and the run down of everything going on.

That really does seem strange. What's the reason for the price hike? I don't like shady business either and its not cool.
@Skydivingmiami My assumption is this is a result of the recent tariffs, but I don’t know where the oil is made. Aside from that I don’t have a clue as to why pricing would increase like that in such a short period.

what the weight and specs for the oil is?
anyone have a older jug that might state it?
I really doubt there is anything special about that oil mostly just need the specs wich should be on the jug.
also alien may use a special oil because of breathable air when I work in the ship yard I know we could not just use any oil I dont recall what we used?
I would think if the specs can be found then there will be other companies that offer the oil.
like buying Harley oil from the Harley dealership it cost a LOT more the the buying mobile or some other like valvoline or?
