Hello @Steve Milbocker

I'll tell you what my friend, using Iron Sights at that distance is just plain "darn good" shoot-n. At my age I would only be able to make out a black blob with my necked eye :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Well, I purchased Dillon's (Dairyboys) Vet2 550mm Tactical in .22 and I received it 3 days ago but it has been raining so I only got to shoot it twice because of the rain and threw just a few shots down range and it is accurate with both pellets and slugs and I found 2 light slugs the barrel likes. I cleaned the barrel 2 days ago and shot it this morning. The first 2 JSB 18gr shots were a tad high and to the left, the next two shots were slightly lower but to the right. Shot one more and same hole so I clicked down one and one left and proceeded to put 10 shots dead center at 20yds JSB 18gr @ 975fps, THANK YOU DILLON! My first Taipan and I am impressed, very similar build and trigger to my RAW, just much more compact @ just under 32". I can't wait to visit my friend and pest ground squirrels with this lil beast!

I’m trying to make the time to shoot the 30y challenge again a few times a week. I can’t wait for favorable conditions having a full time job, wife, and toddler.
I had a little time today so I went at it. I need to adjust the scope back a little, and getting a zero was not easy haha

Daystate Huntsman Revere Safari 177
Sightron 36x Vector adjustable rings
JSB Exact Monster 13.43gr mki
18ish FPE if I remember correctly
Bag front and rear
Wind SE 24mph 32mph gust

I’m happy all things considered

Hello @Ranchibi

What a fine looking piece of equipment and it appears to be a great shooter. I'm assuming that is a quick disconnect Bi-pod that you can drop and use as a really neat "pest control device" 😁 . I expect to see some more photos real soon. Kudos on the new purchase.

Hello @Florida_Man

Hey in pre-hurricane wind conditions that is some amazing results. I would take that on a no wind day (y)

Thomas, thank you! It is an Accu-Tac bipod and it is large and heavy....Could double as an anvil for large hog pesting....😂👍. I haven't posted as my RAW needs servicing so I NEED to send her out to Martin for some TLC! One of the reasons I purchased the Taipan, I only had the RAW for a higher power PCP, now have 2 in case one is down! My Notos is my dedicated ratter.

Congrats Randal and welcome to the Taipan club. They are pretty special rifles and looks like your‘s holds up to all the hype and expectations.

Tim! Thanks! I finally pulled the trigger and got one! And, yes, they are everything everyone says they are. To me, they are what a RAW Bullpup would be! Saw your groups with your Vet Standard yesterday, impressive groups! These CZ barrels are quite special 👍 to go along with a superbly built PCP is, well, nirvana!

Hello @alejo

First off you sure have a great "set-up" for your range and all of the equipment :) . Looks to be very good accuracy.

The spread on your shots are excellent (y)

Did you shoot more than one shot at some of the Bulls? Like on the last card the #24 Bull? The POI is elongate and it looks like the pellet entered at an angle. I'm guessing that you shot the pellets straight out of the Tin

I have never owned a Bullpup platform before but did have a Brocock Compatto a semi Bullpup that ergonomically was stellar for me but I am getting much more comfortable with the Vet2 quicker than expected. Shot 3 warm up shots into the right groups upper left hole then shot the one on the left then shot a bald dandelion top and clipped it clean from 19yds. All credit goes to the Vet2! Having a blast with the Vet2 now that the rain has passed.

Hello @Ranchibi

Great shooting, but a very expensive way to mow your yard :ROFLMAO:

ThomasT

@alejo , that is some VERY fine shooting. I have a Vixen 22 compact and it’s very accurate too.

@Ranchibi , you are getting the hang of that Vet PDQ. But what did that poor innocent dandelion ever do to you? :ROFLMAO:
😂 Tim! It it....uh....my bad....😂👍! Yup...getting to know that V2 pretty darn quick!

On the previous outing we had a visitor shooter, taking his M4 or was it M3,,,, anyway
Seemingly he liked the painted stainless kitchen sink at 115 M, but really grouping did not seem super impressive, so i put a few 16 grainers on it in a clear area of it.

That soon chewed a hole in it, 3 of them landing more or less in the same place and the metal fold to supreme accuracy and the force of lead.

The other guy did not maker a hole in spite of him hitting it a lot more, also with 16 grain Zan.

Nothing special to report from yesterday, the wind flags was more or less horizontal all the time, so you had to work hard or luck out to get those really sweet shots.
Still 4-500 13 grainers was dispensed as the calm set in after a week exposure to the cruelty of the world in general.

Hi Tim.. thank you I really appreciate you comments , yes you are right on the elongated shots on one card to be exact were (11) on the left and (3) on the right card, it’s weird 😳 though, and yes straight from the tin , before I used to clean and weight all pellets, but when I stared using JTS I noticed how clean they are and their weight is so closed , compere to JSB , FX etc . An other brand that I’m trying is AEA , i think they are both Chinese .
