Be careful! Thanks. I’ve cut more trees than most. This time I cut only 12 and they were all nasty when they’re leaning with big time weight on top. Every tree I cut was snapped but still had pressure on them. Sometimes unpredictable.I had one 8 in. trunk fly over my head and drop beside me. And I thought that I was careful.
My buddies range will next cut. Good luck Crow
3 inches, that’s a flood. How long would that take to fall? Good luck. CrowSevere thunderstorms, and a little under 3 inches of rain. I worked about 50 miles south of home this morning and did make it to my truck before it all hit. Coming home there were times when 35mph was speeding, visibility was so bad. My yard is so soaked I do not want to walk across to place some targets
I’ve done that before. The 35 has bust a gut before as well. Need a pic. CrowWell yesterday I shot my new to me Diana 52 .177 and maGamo Swarm Magnum Gen 2 .22 and a couple pcps.. Kinda funny because I kept trying to break the barrel on the Diana. Was strange getting used to
3” in Florida is an afternoon shower…frequently that amount falls in an hour or so…the ground here is very porous. The ocean is not very far either. The state is only about 150 miles wide and the highest point is maybe 200’ above sea level. You get used to it. John3 inches, that’s a flood. How long would that take to fall? Good luck. Crow

You could cold blue it, but it would require a lot of work, I've done my 766 barrel in the past. If you can afford it the real hot bluing process is the way to go. That's your call on what you want out of it.A nice, warm day with some time to shoot...unfortunately very windy. Despite the wind, pellet tested my new FWB 300 at 30 yds. At least narrowed down my choices to 3. Not as smooth or as accurate as my FWB 150, I expected it to be *twice* as good all around ;-). Still an excellent rifle, the only interesting thing that happened was that the scope literally fell off when I went to put it away (I have wall mounted racks in my air conditioned garage/shop). The Pic rail adapter failed, obviously loosened from the sled action. I'll have to keep an eye on that. Luckily, the only damage was to the lens cover, and that was minor. I do have a question for the hive mind...this rifle's bluing is essentially non-existent. I'm going to send it in to David Slade for a tune and he offers re-bluing services. Not cheap. I don't mind the "old rifle" look, but what would you guys do? I am going to refinish the stock, just because I hate that thick varnish look and the wood underneath deserves to be seen...Thanks! Rick
I also shot my HW50 with a Vortek kit. It has been neglected for a couple of weeks. Cheers!

I left the house about 7:15 and it was just starting, got home about 2:30 and it was over by then and roads were drying so I am guessing 5-6 hours. There have been a few occasions where we got that much in a couple of hours.3 inches, that’s a flood. How long would that take to fall? Good luck. Crow
29+ feet. I would be sleeping on an air matttess. CrowBarren River Lake here is now 29.6 feet above full pool and still raining .
Think it is a pistol day today
If you’re going to the trouble of refinishing the stock. I would spend on the steel. CrowA nice, warm day with some time to shoot...unfortunately very windy. Cleaned the basement to save the marriage. Went out to shoot in afternoon and the hydro trucks just moved in. Day 9 no power. Burning $120. propane a day. So far a Walnut 97, burned.
I’m not shooting while they are here. Don’t need the heat. Crow
Man, you must live super close to Munfordville or Glasgow to be talking about Barren River.Barren River Lake here is now 29.6 feet above full pool and still raining .

Scottsville but 9 miles north on the very south end of the lakee

That’s insane. I would have ruts in my driveway 2 feet deep. CrowI left the house about 7:15 and it was just starting, got home about 2:30 and it was over by then and roads were drying so I am guessing 5-6 hours. There have been a few occasions where we got that much in a couple of hours.
It's been a long time ago when I was in college in NE Louisiana, we had so much so fast that some of the streets in campus had around a foot of water. Some fish swam up from the bayou on the east side of campus and some of the guys were out there trying to catch them by hand. That's nothing compared to what can come down in a hurricane
I was away years ago in the USAF and my father told me of a freak storm that hit the north side of two near the business where he worked. Something like about 8 inches in a hour in a small area, flooded houses, and almost got into their business. The area was flat so not good drainage for that kind of downpour. Areas less than half a mile away got a light rain, nothing like that.
