Crosman pellets

No to selling, just happened to stock up over the years as they are good to go out of my guns sub 60 yards… Hopefully the shortage is a temporary thing…
I'm just hoping there's no change to them and the consistency of the CPHP stays the same... along with the price. They shoot very straight out of my FX Panthera Hunter Compact when I turn down the hammer tension going at 930-940 fps.

I just picked up the last 10 tins of CPHP's .22 in my local Walmart. They have been replaced with a Crosman labeled tin made in Spain. Gammo bought Crosman and is now replacing the Crosman pellets with their garbage pellets. All the .177 pellets were Crosman, made in Spain. I guess I will have to find another pellet to shoot now that Gamo has trashed the CPHP in favor of their garbage. Also saw this article in Hard Air

I was curious what guns everyone is shooting that they get their best accuracy using a brand of Crosman pellets?

I don't own any high end PCP's, but do own several entry level. The only one that shoots them ok is my Gamo Urban, the rest not so good. I have a few Diana Springers (48/34) and they will absolutely not shoot any Crosman pellets.

Since Crosman pellets are sold in every sporting good store, big box store in the US, they surely have to shoot well in something or no one would keep buying them.
Anything with a Lother Walther barrel will shoot them decent. Or crosman guns with Crosman barrels shoot them ok.

My impact M3 shoots them ok.

Crosman Pellets are ok to good, you won’t get match grade out of them at least I don’t. But on a nice day they can plink the hell out of spinners and cans

Visited my local WallyWorld today and shelves were bare too.

If Crosman is switching the .22 Hollow Points to the Daisy design, I welcome it. I've bought them a few times since 2020 and each time they have grouped well in multiple rifles, and better than most Crosman HPs I've purchased over the last 10 years or so.

Example of a couple of 30 yard groups from a QB79 HPA conversion.

The last time I got a tin of Crosmans that would produce ragged holes was 2013.

And the Daisies are straight up wrecking balls for pest control. One recovered from a gray squirrel:

Thank you for an emperical glimmer of hope for the quality of the now “imported” CPHPs…

What do all of the notes mean on your various tins?

The markings on the tins are:

PA = Pyramyd Air
WM = Walmart
Am = Amazon

WDW = washed, dried, waxed

The “washing” here refers not only to cleaning with a degreaser solution (e.g. Awesome Orange or Purple Power), but also tumbling them vigorously in a wire strainer to break off the flashing at the skirts and mold parting line. With some Crosman tins, before and after tests shrunk average group size by half but unfortunately the results still fell short of tins purchased back in 2012 - 2013.

When CPHP's win a competition of any sort, let me know, until then I'll stick with pellets that are...more consistent in head size. We're talking maybe 1c more per shot? The higher quality pellets aren't breaking my bank over a penny.

I’m not a fan of CHP as antimony makes them harder on field targets and barrels so that makes me a pellet snob 😉

What wax do you use?
White Lightning bicycle chain wax. A very light application, about 10 drops added to a tin and then tumbled to distribute it. I don’t think it does anything meaningful in terms of lubricating properties but it is a protective coating to prevent surface oxidation.
