Decided on a PCP...

Now, where to buy? I have been looking for a decent PCP. I have decided that an Umarex Zelos (22) would be a good "starter" PCP for me.

I've checked the Gun Deals web site and found that these can be purchased for about $400-$450 from some websites. Most others have them at around $600.

Has anyone had luck with any of these discount sellers? Their web-sites all look similar, which makes me cautious.

I appreciate any feedback you guys/girls have.

Thanks!

I don't remember buying anything from them recently but Natchez says they've been around since 1977. I looked at their better business report and there were a few complaints, mostly for pb ammo and they at least tried to settle. They want $450 which may not be the lowest but it is probably close. Not totally risk free perhaps but seems lower risk than a very new source without much of a track record.

I was planning on getting the .22 version. As for pyramid air, they are $150-$200 more than the lowest sellers on Gun Deals. I know customer service may play into my purchase. With that said I can get it from Amazon for less that pyramid. Amazon has a great return policy as well.
Welcome to the forum first of all. Congrats on your first pcp. You do realize this is not a "one fits all game". The Airgun god is watching . You need a gun for target shooting , rats , squirrels, crows or whatever. Never use a gun on 2 different things. Bad Airgun sin. That's the story I tell my wife and I'm sticking to it. Happy shooting.

I figured that would be the case. 😁 Very similar to my firearm collection. This first one will be primarily for critter reduction. I'm sure a competition PCP will be in the near future as I already compete in centerfire and rimfire PRS matches.

You get the concept and will fit in nicely. Just remember, unruly gest are asked to leave and you will be fine.

Yeah, I had ordered the Huben Cricket Bottle Regulator and the 580cc Tuxing Carbon Fiber 4500psi Bottle before I ordered my Zelos. Got the Reg from Hajimoto Productions here in the US & the Bottle direct from Tuxing.com in Chickety China.

The moderator is just something cheap that I had used on a Benjamin Marauder that I had laying around. Also have a Bravo 3D Baffle set installed and all I hear is the fairly loud ping of the gun's valve firing. I tried the Bravo Baffles alone and they really don't do much by themselves - I would just save the money and put it towards a quality moderator. I'm considering having a Machinist guy that I know cut down my shroud to get rid of the four inches of dead space and re-thread the inside then just get a quality six to eight inch moderator that I can remove when transporting in a rifle case.

Unfortunately, I'm no stranger to that. I have too many hobbies.
I know the feeling about too many hobbies. I tend to overdue everything and buy the best I can afford, because I learned that the upper-level equipment tends to give you the best bang for your buck! That is why I bought an upper mid-level air gun for my first, and I was not disappointed. Now I have a Maverick a M3, and a M4 on its way this week from UA.
