I'm late to the party but I can tell you that I get them in OD up to 15mm. 9/16 is what I typically use when making them for the Impacts. Lots of guys like them in 15mm when they go unshrouded.

Unless the bullet is "over or under stabilized" the nose should follow the trajectory. the mentioned flight characteristic is arguably the only reason to not spin a bullet with a really fast twist rate.

When I cut the port, I typically orient the deviation at 12 o'clock.
