Just looked it up. Deer and pronghorn: The air rifle must be at least .35 caliber Elk, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, and black bear: The air rifle must be at least .45 caliber.

Respectable. I've not considered taking Deer with an Air Rifle? I know some states require at least .50 caliber when using black powder.

I would guess they did not extend the lever further so that if the moderator were removed the lever would not extend beyond the muzzle?
