    30-Yard Challenge

Leaderboard Update - Submissions through 4/15/25 Challenge Shooters, this is our 3rd leaderboard update of 2025... Weather is still sub-optimal here in Connecticut, but we have had some really good submissions from other parts of the country – and from some new rifles. Notables...

Taipan Baptized the new Taipan Vet 2 today

Hey “Tommy Taipan”, You are far from being done, lol... and you can always send the ones you are not using to me, as I seem to be the home for forgotten air rifles… What I’ve noticed is that for you to be shooting those kinds of scores immediately upon receiving the rifle, it must “fit” you...

    30-Yard Challenge

Thanks Tommy. Not great shooting weather around here - and I hurt my back about 5 days ago - so not comfortable bent over shooting. No excuses though. Used the Akela .177 for these 3 30-Masters cards over the past two days. Pretty consistent - especially in wind that is sneaky switching...

    Crosman pellets

Some data on the Crosman "Premier" line of pellets (I believe this is their premium line). I've been moderating the 30 and 40 YArd Challenge on AGN for the past couple of years -collecting extensive data on rifles/pellets/barrels/scopes.. There have been likely thousands of this precision...

    30-Yard Challenge

Nice card Taipan Tommy… but I beat ya with my only Huntsman card yesterday (also shot an Akela card). Spent a bunch of time working on my Benji Cayden. Switched back to cut down Crosman spring and working on tuning it to be backyard friendly while retaining accuracy. BTW, my Regal has a Huma...

    30-Yard Challenge

Damn, you’re getting really good with those “fancy” guns you shoot Rick. I’m tempted to send you my .177 Gauntlet Gen 1 and some Crosman pellets to see how you shoot with it, lol. Great card - can’t wait to see your .177 Blackwolf on the leaderboard. Consider our data - if shooting the 13.4g...

    30-Yard Challenge

I told ya that they operate smoother than other major platforms and that their trigger is super nice - regardless of “bullpup” format. Now you’re making me want a 700mm, lol.

    30-Yard Challenge

Wow! Smokin’ hot scores !! You’re no longer TommyB… You’re now “TommyTaipan” 😉 Great shootin’ Tommy 👍🏻

Classic or Tactical? Which do you prefer and why?

I’m assuming that the original poster - NorthEast Airguns is asking a general question… and not specifically about the FX DRS… My preference is for the rifle to have a “pistol grip” format stock vs. a “sporter” stock. A pistol grip stock can be bullpup or full length rifle, wood or metal. It...

    Daystate Wolverine R HP .22

Hammer spring preload is not adjustable on the Wolverine R / Wolverine R HP. I believe that you are referring to adjusting the “length of hammer throw” in Daystate’s slingshot hammer. Length of throw (distance the inner part of the hammer travels) via loosening the lockdown grub screw on the...

    30-Yard Challenge

Great 40-Masters with .177 nomojoe ! We’ve seen great results with 13.4g even at 40 yards if velocity is 780-820fps. Above 820fps, the 13.4s don’t do as well accuracy-wise. What speed are you shootin’ em ?

    30-Yard Challenge

Nice shooting JimmyD ! I have a few tins of the 9.57s. They are excellent pellets but I haven’t shot any outstanding scores in my limited number of cards with them. My gut tells me that I’ve been shooting them too fast - 850fps+. Field Target in Europe is 12 ft/lbs - which translates to...

    30-Yard Challenge

Rick, I put .25 cal on the leaderboards - as you stated, it scores fine with our .22 scoring plug. Congrats on the Royale - its kinda like the Crown’s father… or Grandfather.

    30-Yard Challenge

Moderator Meyhem Had an interesting experience yesterday with moderators... Shot a 40-Masters with the FX Crown .22 and scored 182 6X in good wind conditions. Something felt off. In decent conditions I've never shot that low for a 40-Masters with the Crown and FX 18.13g. Then I noticed that...
