You can, but for me it's not practical. There are other barrels which require a lot less work, main issue is cutting internal grove for breech seal (O-ring). You will need an special tool to cut this grove.

Made a 1/2" unf adapter for my Crosman Mk1 stubby. I decided to broach it for a 1/4 driver instead of cutting slut for screw driver. Still waiting on a 7/8" x 20 die so I can make the flush mount bulb cap and this will be finish.

I bought a master O-ring kit from Amazon, they sell both SAE and metrics. This is all I use for my rebuilds and works great. Must be be Buna 70 or higher on the durometer scale.
