    DonnyFL Koi vs STO Falx

Accuracy is fine with a .22 Huma on a .22 Crown. There wasn't any accuracy difference between the old kevlar Huma and the new Avalache Huma. The Avalache was waaay louder than the old Huma or the DonnyFL Koi

    DonnyFL Koi vs STO Falx

A DonnyFL Koi is waaay quieter than the "new" Avalanche models of the HUMA. Huma has discontinued the older kevlar models(supposedly due to high failure rate when used on higher FPE guns). I tried to find any of the old models earlier this year, but all distributors were sold out. It's a shame...

WHERE ARE ALL THE EBR POSTS?

The "coverage" posts here on AGN definitely is less robust than the previous 3 "big competitions" this year

    Brocock bantam sniper slugs

My .177 Brocock Bantam chambers and shoots the 13.43g JSB Knockout slugs the exact same as 13.43g JSB Monster pellets. Occasionally, a slug may get hung up in the mag if I try to cycle the action too fast.

FX Is Fx Crown a worthwhile upgrade from a Dream Lite?

It finally stopped raining, so I shot a few more targets, another one with slugs and 2 more with pellets. The Dreamlines I've had in the past could compete with the Crown at 50 yds, but never approached these kinds of results at 100 and beyond:

FX Is Fx Crown a worthwhile upgrade from a Dream Lite?

You will have MORE than enough power with the Crown and a 600 or 700mm barrel. Here is some actual data(I only had time to shoot 1 target this morning before it started raining) for your(and others')consideration:

FX Is Fx Crown a worthwhile upgrade from a Dream Lite?

Yes, it is a very reasonable upgrade from the Dreamlite. In .22, I prefer the Superior 700mm barrel(in the Saber Tactical chassis, if it's in your budget. If not now, you can buy it separate later for future upgrade) for strictly bench shooting. The latest version Crown(MK2) has a bit larger...

    Tall target test

I have used close(and far) tall target test for years now. Every time I mount a scope on a rifle(or if there is a problem), I use a quick close tall target test to help verify level/anti-cant device, scope reticle markings, and click values, as well as, info from ballistic apps. However...

    RAW Micro Hunter Moderator

jps2486, Very wise to measure the exit hole and not just say "a .22 ... moderator" because some moderators: 1) don't NECESSARILY have the same specifications(or internal components) from year to year 2) may not be labeled correctly with respect to caliber Manufacturers may or may not announce...

    Stupid question of the day????

It's important to make sure the moderator IS what you think it is(disassemble and examine/measure internals, measure exit holes, weigh it, etc...). Moderator companies may change specs, materials, internals, etc... over time and they may or may not give notice or this change. This means that...

    Huma MOD-40 availability

Oh I'm sure that being less expensive(either to manufacture and/OR lower failure rate/less free replacements) was their reason. If it "worked just fine..." why did you post a picture of yours with the guts blown out of it?? Anyway, I hope I'm wrong in saying that Huma will not make them anymore...

    Huma MOD-40 availability

On another forum, someone reported that Huma discontinued the Huma Mod40 STANDARD and replaced it with the Avalanche because the Standard ones had a high failure rate. Huma touts the delrin inserts on the new Avalanche models are more durable: "... due it’s extreme strength there are no power...

    FX Crown mag feeding issues.

That fix works. Glad you got it back shooting. Another remedy is to loosen the barrel retention set screws, insert the magazine, then retention the barrel. Keeps it from "binding", but not loose enough to cause any issues.
