I love it. Last week I pulled back to 70 yards--I had to "cheat" a little by shooting from my neighbor's yard. From a portable bench I was shooting quarter size groups. For me, that's great. Thanks for asking.

It's picked up a little rust due mostly to my lack of attention, but otherwise it's holding up fine.

Question: Where are the "sweet spots" in velocity when tuning a.177 or .22 air rifle? :unsure: Back story: While I'm "mechanically challenged," I'm trying to tune a .177 RTI Prophet Compact. The last owner used it for shooting slugs. I'd like to use it for pellets. (JSB 8.4s would be ideal.)...

Add another Taipan Veteran. Mine is a .22 shorty. It's also the quietest gun I own. My .177 Daystate Revere (regulated) is a close second in accuracy.

From the rifles I own, definitely my .22 Taipan Veteran Shortie, although I wish it was a little lighter. I'm on the lookout for an Brocock Atomic. Hope to be able to purchase one used from a respected AGN member.

Fungun327, Definitely. Actually the gun is pretty loud without a silencer. The 0db really makes a big difference. I consider the rifle easily backyard friendly when using the moderator.
