All Things PARD Night Vision & Thermal Optics - Master Thread

I use my Night Stalker multiple times a week. The listed Arken/DNT specs indicate they have about half of the resolution available through the PARD Night Stalker.

Pard SA62 and Ocelot Thermal LRF Help

Hopefully this link will be helpful. It's not the thermal but it might give you a starting point.

    Shot looks bad but wasn't

@JimD Really like the wood on that P-rod. Spalted?

    Airgunning crows

May be a little slow. I don't understand the meaning here. Care to clarify???

All in one optic! Glass, Rangefinder, Video recorder, Ballistic Calculator, and more....

@American Airgunner What is the FOV on that? Looks like the 2x4 on your target frame @ 50 yards is maybe 6 or 8 feet long. Would you mind confirming?

    Airgunning crows

That is a Jack Pyke flocked decoy out of Ireland/UK. I believe that style is out of production. It's on an extendable pole used for painting ceilings. Getting at least one up high really adds to the appeal. Also use bird cradles and dead volunteers for decoys...

    Airgunning crows

That is part of what was going on there. If you turn the volume way up you can hear them talking while circling the fallen. Occasionally another would perch to look down on the growing pile. @SilentSquirrel That was a good deed. All of the crows in that video have been relieved of their...

    Airgunning crows

Five of the six are about 30. The first one in the video was about 60 yards. Crow Magnums seem to have more "pop" than diablo style pellets. Would love to have an option of a heavy weight Crow Mag.

    Airgunning crows

Quick video of part of the crows shot over the weekend. Six down in this clip. It was reasonably quick action with no pauses in recording between the four birds in the middle (excluding #1 & #6). Ended the morning with well over 40 on the ground. First one flew about 40 yards before...

Hog Hunt with Air Bolts - Intense Reaction (not my video)

That's a pretty extreme reaction but it doesn't appear to have hit the brain. It looks like it entered the eye socket and probably deflected downward off the back/bottom of the skull. Angled severely downward through the lungs and out behind the front leg. Would like to see an autopsy type...

N/A Ideas to Illuminate Air Bolts

A bit off topic but I've had a blood trailing dog find and recover arrows that were completey buried. Those were pass through shots from a 70# compound bow. If you start using a dog that is just a part of the trailing. On the airbow airrows I've been contemplating attaching surveyor ribbon...

Anyone gone pesting at dump transfer station New England Area.

Thermal is not going to see moles underground. Dirt is a good insulator/barrier. Thermal can see nests on the other side of T1-11 plywood and have also used thermal to see raccoons/possums in crawlspaces and under sheds.

Need help with air bow fishing (air rifle) scope not a red dot

@stre-tch Surprised that you are using a solid fiberglass arrow that's normally used in bowfishing. It didn't occur to me that there was an airgun designed to launch something like that. What is the make and model of that airgun? Very cool!
