I doubt this HW30 has ever been opened up. Cosmetically, outside, the gun is in good condition. Still accurate w/70's Weaver scope - needed no adjustments. Perfekt trigger is 3.15lbs average. Some air tube galling from the linkage... Gun still averaged 534fps w/7.4gr pellet. Take a look at this...

I have 1997 Daisy 1000, which is a Gamo, made for Daisy. I did the opposite of what you are asking. I converted the spring powerplant to a gas-ram. Way less parts- so you will need more parts that your gun doesnt already have (spring, guides top hat, and some other stuff. I gained about 70fps...

Vortek was teasing with a "Bionic Piston & seal". It looked interesting & was briefly advertised on their website. These were going to be for the Magnum Gamo guns 33mm too.

Also, do NOT get silicone oil in your pump tube/piston. It will seize up. Use some synthetic motor oil-smoooth.

I run a BuckMark? on mine at all times-its quiet. The pumping action is loud as hell though. Linkage slop pops & clacks with every stroke. Maybe a Mk3 will come out with billet linkage? wishful thinking...

A few guys have messed with them (myself included) and the gun responds well. Do some searches, info is out there. The weak link is the pump linkage; it has its limits... Hammer spring, transfer port, pump headspace, valve porting,,, its a fun gun to tinker with.
