30+ years as a tax accountant mostly in the, unfortunately, NYC metropolitan area. Looking forward to retiring and getting out of New York state, simply can't cost justify staying here, among other reasons.
Not going anywhere now cause currently my younger son is a Staff Sgt in the 10th Mt, Division stationed, with his wife and two daughters, at Fort Durm in upstate NY. Only 6 hours away, I'll be here for as long as they are there.
Plinked in my youth while living in a rural area of NYS but it went on hold thru almost 30 yrs of marriage. Started plinking again after divorce with long rifles and got a shotgun for home defense, finally.
But NYS doesn't make things easy and I'm unwilling to go thru its 8-12 month long overly intrusive application process for a handgun.
Which brings me here, have decided to begin a collection of BB & pellet handguns.
Even while applying the strict gun safety rules I was raised with, without the state restrictions they'll be source of way more fun.
