In Massachusetts there was a problem, the Firearms community wanted no alternative to firearms. I had purchased a break barrel air rifle for my wife and I to shoot, but none of the sportsman clubs would allow us on the "Firearms Range" without a Firearms Licence. We didn't need a licence for a firearm, we were using an airgun.
after month of trying clubs in other towns it was clear there was an issue and the solution was to open a shooting range for airguns only!
New England has 4 seasons of weather and to shoot in the winter the Range for airguns had to be indoors. To make this affordable to all, the range also had to be lead-free so we didn't need expensive ventilation from outdoors. You have to heat outdoor air in the winter and cool outdoor air in the summer otherwise you freeze indoors in the winter and sweat and smell like a dirty locker room in the summer. also , indoors, there are no bugs or wind to deal with.
