That is the scope I have on my FX Mav. I do not shoot HFT, so cannot comment as to its suitability other than it is a heavy scope, not something I would want on top of a freehand held rifle. I would rather go for a fixed power 10x or 12x, maybe a 16x,

HP 2 are made with softer lead, deeper hollow point, expand easily. Older version are hard, penetrate well but with much less expansion. Both shoot equally good in my Maverick. IMHO older version for shooting gongs etc. and HP 2 for hunting, unless shooting tough critter's then maybe use...

Superior @ 1:24, I find this liner best overall, including and up to 30gr H&N HP 2 slugs, I don't shoot heavier than 30gr. As a side note, I find the 27gr H&N slugs to have a higher BC than 30gr H&N slugs, measured purely by POI on target at distance compared to what Strelok would say I need...
