Is the only difference between the original 2015 Wing Shot and the Wing Shot 2 the vent rib on the Wing Shot 2?

Oh yeah I've seen that. Man, I'm personally just not a fan of that style build for a shotgun. I like a more traditional shotgun style. Why did they make their shells the way they are with the several small holes for air instead of one big one? Did it prove more effective or something?
