My chaser's trigger isn't very smooth but it's predictable. I think the cross bar safety might have something to do with it. I'll check that out.

Good thought and worth a try. A Red Rider would do the job to harass them and it's very quiet. One lever stroke spits the bb's out at about 350 fps. Could be the solution.

I just shot my stock .22 Chaser today (see pic above). Using RWS 11.9 gr Hobby pellets I was getting 40 shots with a high of 571 fps and low of 520 which is when I pulled the cartridge out. Probably 25 shots between 550 and 560 fps. And It was only 72 F outside! When it hits the 80's & 90's...

Are they in working order? Huge difference in price if they're not working as designed. They look well cared for. The brands are reputable and the models are upper crust.

Then you only have one option: Eliminate their food source. Do I get it right that you're feeding raccoons? That's another potential issue, but your choice. Hope it works out for you.

Eliminate the feeder. From personal experience, the skunk will not leave until the food source is eliminated. You'll have to kill it. More skunks will follow if the feeder is still there.
