    What gun, what criteria?

I think most newcomers are like I was 4-5 years ago. I’d had airguns for years but while I was away from it, airguns grew tremendously with capabilities I never dreamed of in an airgun platform. I didn’t know what I didn’t know and had no idea what questions to ask. We need to work with new...

N/A Which of your airguns would you choose for a 60yd target for only one shot?

If I could only use an air gun mine would be a Gauntlet 2 in .25 but would prefer a powder gun. Rick H.

    Crosman 1968 Crosman 760 PowerMaster

You can get that 760 repaired and restored without a problem. I have 2 that have been done in the last 2-3 years. They shoot great, look great and it wasn’t expensive. Rick H.

30 yard benchrest against myself at 13

Nibs, who does YouTube videos as Walnut and Steel, is in New York State I believe. He might be able to point you to some other shooters. Rick H.

    500$ startup

Sure you can. I got a Benjamin Maximus early on and a hand pump, total maybe $300. Two Gauntlets used for under $600 after getting a little work done. I have two Co2 guns both under $400. All of them shoot well. Lots of possibilities if you do some research and shop around. Rick H.

What’s Applications Do You Use Your Airguns For?

I shoot for fun and very rarely a pest but raptors take care of most of that. Shooting well is a precision activity that requires regular practice to maintain skill. Fortunately I also enjoy it. Rick H.

Way to close buddy, i have a problem....

I count on raptors to keep pests under control and they do. Nature takes care of itself. Rick H.

    Need a lightweight target rifle

I’ve got one, bought it from an Olympic shooter. It’s the Anschutz and it’s a bit heavy, looking for a lighter 10 meter rifle. Rick H

    Need a lightweight target rifle

I have a Benjamin AR2078 A and an Anschutz 2002, both great for 10 meter competition but both over 9 pounds I believe. Seven is an arbitrary starting point. I‘m used to precision rifles being heavy but shooting competitive powder burners meant shooting prone or from a bench. Not so with 10...

Sheridan What is a Sheridan? Really

It’s too bad Sheridan is no longer made. There were four or five of us terrorists….I mean kids in our neighborhood who did a lot of airgun shooting and one of us got a Sheridan. It was way ahead of our Crosman and Daisy rifles and I wanted one ever since. When I got back into airguns I found a...

    Need a lightweight target rifle

Evening everyone, Friday I did a bit of target practice for the first time since October. First shooting of any kind actually. It went well and I felt I wouldn’t embarrass myself at this morning’s match. I was right, shot my best score ever but still didn’t make the finals, no surprise. The...

N/A What is considered the “best”

Benjamin AR2078A. Uses two Co2 cartridges for about 55-60 shots. Looks good and shoots good. Airgun Detective on YouTube has a review. RickH.

    Recommend me a new gun

Benjamin Maximus. Good for plinking and rodent issues, lightweight, accurate. Rick H.
