    Huben pistol.

The GK1 has several reasons being loud. Muzzle blast can be significant. A custom LDC that has a reflex design takes care of most of the blast even at 36 FPE. The indexing is also quite loud, but in a mechanical way. I am working on a semi-auto delete that replaces the plastic piece that moves...

Huben GK1: What Silencer for Backyard Quiet? (or almost)

Yes, I have tried that configuration and it was disappointing!

Huben Charging GK1 with Hand Pump

I sometimes take my .22 GK1 to matches. I shot both sub 12 FPE and at 30-ish FPE depending on the match. In both cases, I hand pump the little gun when needed. My score does not get negatively impacted. Sure, I am not really competing in the first place, but still. To shoot at 30 FPE, I need...

Huben Any way to screw off only the barrel of the GK1?

My process is about the same, but I remove just the spring, then reinstall the back plate, the dry fire. This way, there are no parts to fly out and reinstall later. To reverse the process, open the back plate, reinstall the spring, close it up again, and that's it! The is a technique that I...

Huben yet another GK1 review (.22 caliber)

Disclaimer What I do with my gun may void the factory warranty, and/or pose risks to property damage or personal injury. The outcomes of what I do with my gun may differ in your case! Overview A little expensive for an air pistol, and some people will be quite annoyed or frustrated by the gun...

Huben Shot my first shot in GK1, and the air is now empty & pellet jammed, unable to rotate mag

In terms of using the right ammos, @Devink is correct! The following ammo types have worked well for me: JTS 22gr .22 pellets (harder lead alloy, stout pellet) HN Field Target Trophy Green lead-free .22 pellets (<9.6 gr!) GTO .22 lead-free pellets (expensive) AVS 22gr .223" slugs (2 MOA groups...

Huben Shot my first shot in GK1, and the air is now empty & pellet jammed, unable to rotate mag

This happened to me a few times. Here is how I fixed the problem. Put the safety on! Completely degas the gun. There are a few YouTube videos showing how to do this. A jam typically let some air out, but not necessarily emptying the air reservoir. Remove the shroud using a 7mm hex key to remove...

    Huben HB35 hand pump

You're welcome! I also found that it is more effective to apply 30 weight silicone oil directly on the 3rd stage rod and the inner portion of the first stage tube. Dropping silicone oil via the air intake hole does not seem to lubricate as effectively. To lube like this, only the top part...

    Huben pistol.

Just received and installed this from Ethan Cobb today. The precision and workmanship of this bottom rail is impeccable. It is a precise fit on the trigger guard. I cannot be happier with this purchase. The rail is a milled aluminum piece, and it is stout! The Arca adapter slides in perfectly.

Huben GK1: What Silencer for Backyard Quiet? (or almost)

The most pronounced sound from the action is, surprisingly, the magazine cycling. The volume seems to correlate with the power level. The key to keep the gun quiet is energy level and a good LDC. I have tested the skinny (30mm) Huma, an oversized Clague, and even home-made 3D printed ones, all...

    Huben .25 Slugs for GK1?

@primaz , I have no experience with the .25 version of GTO pellets. However, I can share what I know about the .22 ones. The GTO pellets are lead-free. They are light and made of a hard alloy. In .22, these pellets fit the magazine well and do not jam. Turning down the power setting, these...

    Huben .25 Slugs for GK1?

That makes sense because the cross section area of a .25 is about 30% more than that of a .22. The current "happy point" (flattest shot string) of the .22 GK1 shooting 22 gr pellets is about 870 FPS. 870:700 is about 1.24, roughly agreeing with the 30% increase of cross section area of the...

Grey Squirrel W/ Seneca dragonfly mkII. Distance pellet questions in .177

The Dragonfly Mk2 seems to share the same basic platform as the Artemis PP900 guns. If the barrels are similar, JSB Exact Heavies are a good starting point. They have a relatively high BC. 12 FPE at a closer range like 20 yards will pass through a squirrel in a body shot using said pellets.

Huben GK1, Thoughts on the good and the not so good.

After much experimentation, I have come to the same conclusion that the GK1 is best shooting pellets and not slugs. Mine is in .22, but the issues are similar with the .25 version. As a last ditch attempt, I have ordered some .219 hollow base slugs from AVS. I am not holding my breath. Now...

    Other Artemis PP800R Real-World Info

I have the non-Canadian .177 version. After the barrel is cleaned up on both ends, the gun is quite accurate. The trigger group can also be polished, and have the adjustment grub screws replaced with one with a ball bearing at the tip. That improves the trigger quite significantly. The...
