Field Target is an arms race.

I know myself...and know there are a lot of guys that understand the game from day one. Mike

Field Target is an arms race.

Unless someone is completely oblivious....they are not going to hold in the middle and hope for no wind. The majority of the game is about reading the wind. Mike

    Reading the wind

Mirage is my next go to wind indicator if I can't use the string. It's very important to focus your scope between you and the target when finding mirage. If you just look at the mirage behind the target...you are seeing the wind behind the target...not in front of it. Some scopes are good...

N50 Summer and Winter seasons plus travel changes

Sounds like you might want to consider utilizing an airplane or a U-Haul as you suggested earlier. 😀

The only thing that actually matters is the placement of the holes on the target. 😀

Muzzle Turbulence PB Applied to PCP?

If this is something you care to pursue...the only way to satisfy that curiosity is to try. I haven't found any type of air stripper to be helpful beyond reducing or eliminating recoil. Many claim they improve accuracy, though. Mike

This year we are implementing a summer and winter season for the Agg line. The summer season will begin April 1st and end on October 31st. Winter will run November 1st through March 31st. The reason for the change is to allow the clubs which cannot run matches during the winter to have an...

    .22 LR vs .22 slug

The complexity level....or the perceived complexity level when viewed from the outside is also very likely a big reason that PCPs are not attractive to those steeped in Rimfire. I tend to ignore the complexity of pcp because I'm so used to it. I suppose it can easily seem confusing and maybe...

Results N50 Results 2/8/25 Open Grove

Despite the 50gr 30 cal having better wind resistance...I have yet to see the pinpoint precision from it at 50y compared to a great 22. At 100y....the 30 accuracy hangs in there while the 22 starts to wane. The added wind resistance of the 30 takes over and it is way easier to shoot.

    .22 LR vs .22 slug

I shoot 50y benchrest locally with all Rimfire guys. Despite prevailing more times than not over the unlimited Rimfire rifles....there is nobody showing any interest in trading their Rimfire for air. I would say that my entire setup including tanks, compressor, slug press, rest, gun, scope...
