First. Forget affordable......
I wanted the same in a new FX Ranchero .22. I wanted it
regulated, with a
higher shot count and of course -
more velocity.
My local blacksmith, Emil Krogh Jota took the challenge, and contacted the FX factory in Sweden. FX wanted to play, so the solution was to install:
-A FX Revolution barrell
-A FX Gladiator cylinder
-And of course, a regulator
Steve Corcoran made a stock for it, but in the end - this beast suited the black laminate better.
The outcome: -24 regulated shots pr fill,
27 ftp (full power setting)
-19 ftp on medium power setting
-12 ftp on low power setting
No problem shooting small beer cans at 100 m. (Have to use a bipod for this, "no free hand" at that distances) Very satisfying to do this with a pistol.
