(lots more are available)

For sale is a Brocock Sniper HP (a.k.a. “Magnum”) in .22 caliber which I purchased new from SPAW (Southern Precision Air Weapons / Ken Hicks) in June of 2020. This model has a 24” Polygon Lothar-Walther barrel and “adjustable” regulator. Note: the regulator can ONLY be adjusted UP when pressurized. The gun must be degassed to decrease the regulator pressure. I call the Brocock my “one-trick-pony” since this barrel shoots JSB Monster Redesigned pellets extremely well and that’s about it. I have not found it to shoot other pellets well. I have not done much testing with slugs. The one slug I did shoot (.217 NSA 21 grain hollowpoints), it shot reasonably well but definitely a step behind the Monster Redesigned. It seems to do best shooting the JSB MRs around 900 fps / 45 fpe.

I found this to be a pretty good write-up:

These are pretty typical 50 yard groups:

In the right conditions, this is what it’s capable of with Monster Redesigned pellets (MRD) vs. the NSA slugs (sticker target = ½ inch):

Due to the difficulty in finding these pellets, I do not have a recent full shot string. If I’m able to get more pellets, I could shoot one for the buyer. Please note that this is NOT an efficient gun. It’s designed for power. It defied all my tuning attempts to make it more efficient & more quiet.

A few months after buying it, the gun dumped its air. Since the gun has a 3-year warranty (which should be good until June of 2023 and MAY be transferable), I shipped it to Airguns of Arizona to have it fixed. I also had AoA look at the barrel. I found that it lost accuracy VERY quickly when dirty. And when cleaning it with a Patchworm, I would pull out large chunks of lead with the patches. AoA replaced the LW barrel with a new one which does NOT lead up as quickly or as badly as the original. Unfortunately, the new barrel’s centering collar is positioned at the very end of the barrel. This has reduced the dead air space and made the gun even louder. It has become too loud for my yard without a LDC.

The gun will come with one magazine, one single shot tray and the fill adapter. The scope and bipod are NOT included. I am pretty sure I still have the original box in my attic.

My price is $875. PayPal (maybe venmo too). Buyer pays for shipping.

Reason for selling? I have become very fond of the smaller Kalibrgun platform and have a few Crickets now which I find myself enjoying more than the Brocock.
