Accuracy points

While I appreciate the time and effort put into the new layout, I feel it's a huge loss that accuracy points were not preserved. Looks like forum join dates were...so is there any way accuracy points under the old profiles can be imported under positive feedback on the new layout?

I think many of us used accuracy points to judge the safety of making deals, especially trades or partial trades. Plus, I know for long time members, it is definitely a well-deserved status marker.

Other than that, nice work, definitely modernized, it'll just take me a minute to get used to the new layout.

Not only that, but now we’re all considered “new members”, and our post counts went back to zero. These were all things I used as information on whether or not to buy or sell to another members. They’re more important to me than anything else on the forum.

To me this is critical. To suddenly be a New Member again makes no sense. You lose all the accuracy points and credibility that was built up over years. This was always one of the key ways I would make judgements on the Classified, for example.
I agree, I think everyone used accuracy that way once they were around for a bit.

Yes, and the reaction isn’t the same as accuracy. Plus not all the accuracy comments were even turned to resction. I lost over 40. I’ll give it some time, hopefully they are working on bringing all the old points, accuracy, feedback, etc to this new format. It’ll take time I’m sure.

Honestly lads, all this whining? If you look for it BEFORE you whine about it you won't embarrass yourself so much. JMT...

When I worked at Dahlgren I was in an R&D development shop. There were about five of us most of the time and we had to work with each other's code all the time. That can be frustrating and the whining and gnashing of teeth could be heard coming from the lab almost on a daily basis. One night we decided to have a poker party just to burn off some of the tension. During that gathering one of us suggested a "WHINE CUP". The rules were simple. If you get caught whining BEFORE you put a nickle in the cup you had to put a dollar in it. If you put the nickle in the cup first you could whine without penalty. One day I walked in and dropped five dollars in the cup and said, "WATCH OUT TODAY LADS!". We would save our money in that cup until there was enough to take the shop to lunch.

Bottom of the main page. Green button. Put your money in the whine cup.

Cool, I see we can do dislikes! Well done Peskadot.

I get the “look before you whine” thing, however the disappearance of Accuracy points is an issue.

While accuracy points was a great future but it sure doesn’t look like the new software has it. The number of likes/feedbacks looks like its replacement so it’s not a huge lost IMHO. The feedback is now part of user profile which is awesome so no longer do we need to search and old feedbacks are still searchable in classified. I am liking the new forum more now as it is inline or same as all other popular forums.

Ok.... You want "accuracy points?" I think you just might owe the cup a dollar or not BUT this will do the same job. Well maybe not exactly. There are a number of different ways to add praise to a user though.

You can add a comment to their profile, for example. Found that yesterday.

And there is the drop down shown in the screen cap below.
