This 98 is so reliable. 5E78C902-A856-47E0-8E30-FA8001FF2957.jpeg And easy too look at . Today I went off the rails and shot some Crosman’s 14.3 hollow point. All I can say is wow . First target, 5 shots 30 yds.7682DD96-55DE-4F50-8AC1-352834577F48.jpeg The bulls is under the 5 hits. The second target is 35 yds.2C2511FC-9400-40D0-A73B-891015DE9BBE.jpeg You can see the bullseye under the 4 shots. Last shot I pulled too excited.
Been shooting JSB religiously and Hades. JSB are now $16.95 for 250. Crosman $14.95 for 500. Canadian pricing.

That's really nice shooting. I shoot mostly those 14.3 gr Crosmans out of my HW95s. I also get very good accuracy so no need to spend all that money on the expensive stuff. I do have better quality pellets on hand in case I ever get the opportunity to shoot a match.
Moog thanks, I was totally caught off guard with their performance. I just came in from shooting the pointed Crosmans and not too shabby either. I have a boat load of the premiums but they don’t last when your shooting 200 - 400 rounds daily. I’m going to score a few of these. Crow

You are paying waaaaaay too much for those pellets. I bought 4 tins, the limit, for $6.50/500 count tin just over a week ago. Currently $6.24 USD. Maybe theres some massive import tax? https://www.amazon.com/Crosman-Premier-Lead-Pellets-500-Count/dp/B006O74XQ0?th=1

Dan25 I wish you were right. None of that buy 3 get 1 free with free shipping. Unfortunately $14.95 is best I could find and I think that’s old stock, so I’m jumping on a few. Oh ya you think $14.95 bad add another 13% tax. $1.94. That’s almost a third what you pay for tin. It’s called bend over. Crow

The Crossman pellets always gets a bad rap, I think there awesome and shoot great in both my Brocock XR and Cayden.
Harv24 your right. I had maybe 6 tins of Crosman and would never waste my time loading them.
Pellet prices just did a little jump. I saw some Crossman’s at $14.95, thought na waste of money, already got 6 tins collecting dust.
We will be paying $30. for a tin of JSB’s so I forced myself to try the Crosman’s. Totally impressed and made in USA. I’ll try them out today with a few different rifles. The 98 I could load a pebble in it and it would probably be still accurate. Hats off to Crosman. Crow

And here's the thing, I looked thru plenty of different pellets like JSB and H& N and others. I see ALOT of dented skirts due to the softer make up of the pellet.
When I look thru Crosman tins, every skirt is perfect.. Yes, the make them from a harder compound, but the results I've seen speak for themselves.
I've learned a few things in close to 40 years of shooting. Do your own work and verify the results. And what you think you know, may be wrong.
at $6.24 a tin of 500, Yeah, I'm hoping the haters stay away from Crosman. So I have a good source for shooting.

5 shot groups at 13 yds (My max limit in the basement) and those Excite pellet, spread like a hot gun pattern in both my guns. I'd be curious who has luck shooting those.

That’s impressive. I only shoot springers, no complaints from me. I just came in, tried my LGU Varmite well seasoned and a HW80k that doesn’t have 100 rounds through it. Both were outstanding with the Crosman’s. I’ll try a few different later. Crow

I have to say these pellets are good enough for the girls I go out with. Tonite I grabbed a HW 50, 77 and a 97 black line all in .22. DD0B6BF5-2E44-460B-8B6F-CEA719F0CF80.jpeg Here we go again with the Crosman’s.
The 5 shots below the dime HW50. 5 above dine HW77 and the next group is HW97. The bottom shot for 97 was there. That was bullseye for the 97. 294D27A5-9ED7-4AF5-AB9F-FF5413E6F91B.jpeg
The 77 and 97 didn’t perform at 35 yds. probably me. This is the HW50 at 35 yds.A3E962FF-F7AB-4BF1-8B0D-A478AA6AA033.jpeg
I shot a few 15.89’s and the 97, she just smiled. Crow

Did this last round with Air Arms all .22. 480C4AA8-3ACE-477F-8A3E-F4A4865FCE7F.jpeg The TX Hunter had the best groups.
I thing I have to say is these rifles hold like no others. They feel natural. 81820632-4DA0-4974-9064-35B86DD0CEFF.jpeg The gun is pointed at target you can see in pic.
The lower group is the Hunter. The 200 in center spread out. The Pro Sport on top 30 yds. 08CA2CA6-1CC1-420A-B595-21ECC71139B4.jpeg
I found most guns didn’t mind the Crosman’s. Surprisingly my 97 and 200 spread them out the most, but still acceptable to me. I’ll stock a few of these. Crow

I have been getting the Crosman Primier .22 hollow points for I think it was $6.33 for a tin of 500 on Amazon. Of course that is U.S prices. The .177s are even cheaper. Another good thing about the Crosman pellets is that they come in blister packs. This prevents the tins from getting smashed up. That's very important when ordering pellets from Amazon.
