After mounting a red dot in my pellet pistol that is in charge of killing mice and scorpions in my warehouse and once I confirmed that my accuracy was much better than using the open sights, this morning I got to the idea of combining a red dot sight with a bubble level to avoid decanting when shooting with an air rifle.
Went to my Uragan. 22, took off the Vortex Scope and mounted a red dot and a bubble level:
With very few shots of zeroing, the Uragan was hitting were I want to.
This is an excelent option for not so long shots: rifle is much lighter, easy to sight and for night shots makes easier to have a quick target location.
Give it a try!
