The bridge are all wood, sadly while i have a slew of skills / educations in metal fabrication, then the tools to work that we just do not have aside for a angle grinder.
If we had a TIG or just Co2 welder i would have been able to go so deep nerd in the scale looks department, but we had to make due with wood, and then styrofoam for the 3 bridge supports
Yeah my Maverick are still giving me grief, no matter how well i dial in for a pellet or slug, the POI can shift 2 - 3 times in a 22 shot magazine ( .177 )
I am at a loss why that happen to me, i know i do not "clamp" down too hard on the straw barrel, and it is also supported by a CF tube inside the metal barrel tube, and 3 other CF tubes on the outside of the barrel tube, so the rifle are so stiff that having FX chrono on barrel or not do not matter, POI shift are not up / down t is mainly sideways it shift, and by as much as a couple of inches.
So trying to shoot a BR50 paper with the maverick, that are doomed to fail,,,,,, as i also tried this weekend.
The #5 shot here, that is POI shifting on me, there was no wind worth mentioning, and what ever there was mostly was in the back.
PS. It dont matter if i use FX magazine - carm magazine - carm single slot tray, or feed single shot directly to the barrel,,,,,,, which i might add are annoying as hell but can be done with a set of tweezers.
POI just mock me even if i have generally learned how many turret clicks it take to compensate, 5 - 6 - 7 shots more and you will be clicking in the other direction.
I do think i am done with FX,,,,,, said in a none hater way, i will keep it, but probably get something else to shoot slugs,,,,,, i will try a FX .177 slug barrel, but really i have no hope for that changing anything.
So awaiting dedicated .177 slug shooters, just fortunate ATM i am saving for a 12 L bottle filling compressor, so i can not go new gun shopping before this time next year at best.
