New 10-Meter Air Gun Target

Hello everyone,

I have designed a new Air Gun Target that can be used with .177 and .22 caliber Pistol or Rifle. It is designed to be used at 10-Meters but can be used at other distances if needed. For every body that would like to shoot on a regular basis in their backyard but are limited to a small area, this can be a very competitive target to use.

Five targets with two 10-Rings on each target, the inner 10-Ring is designed for .177 cal and the outer 10-Ring is designed for .22 cal. To score a 10, the pellet/hole must at least touch the appropriate 10-Ring circle. The outer rings ( 5 through 9 ), scoring is standard, and that is; where ever the pellet/hole is, then score that Ring’s value or in case of a Touch or Break of a Ring use the higher value to score. A perfect score of 250 would be to “hit” all five of the 10-Rings with all five shots per Target.

OK every body print up a stack and go shoot some targets today and have fun.

I have attached a pdf copy of this target for an easy download and printing. Couple of suggestions for a download:
A) I always use FireFox to download, but others will work OK.
B) Be sure to click on the “Fit to page” in the upper center of your screen before printing, this will assure an accurate full scale print out of the target.
C) Note, on the upper middle of the right margin on the target I have included a “Scale” showing 1/4", 1/2" and 1" so that you can check with a ruler to confirm the print out is to correct size.
D) I have included 5 Sighter circles for checking your rifle and scope prior to shooting the Targets.

I have added a scanned copy of the Target so you can see what it looks like.

Have a great day,
ThomasT

Excellent, thank you! We’re having a lot of fun with the 30y targets and we where brainstorming on a way to convert them for indoor 10m, but this is great too!
As for the print settings, for pdf I think you’ll have to use ‘true size’ as that will not enlarge/shrink the (iso ‘fit to page’) size of the drawing?
Good morning MartinT

I love the 30 Yard Challenge and pretty much all paper target shooting. I hope this 10-Meter target will allow a lot more people to get involved with more target shooting. I will shoot this target today with my Diana Bandit.

As far as printing, I do understand that different computers "load" pdf files differently but if before printing you are given an option as to the "print scale" , try to choose one that allows the printing to "fit the page". In order to print any thing on standard paper which is 8-1/2 x 11 inches, the "layout" should be 8.2" wide because that is as wide as most all printers will print on standard paper. If your printer has the option of "borderless" printing like for a photograph, that could be used but a pdf design to actual scale would then print a bit too large. I use AutoCAD to do all my design work and draw to exact size, ie., the targets are actually 8.2" wide. Hope this will help.

just found this last night. printed out some targets. thought i'd join in on the fun and something new! thanks for the thread.

a little gusty today, 10mph+ but i'm patient. a couple flyers on that first target. i can't really tell for sure, but i think the score looks right. i'll accept any corrections. daisy 753 single-stroke pumper. gun shoots better than i can of course, it's a rifle designed for the distance. :) benchrest (hey, i'm going on 60, i can sit now lol) with a tripod and dipoter mechanical sights, RWS .177 8.2 gr wadcutters.

that was fun and rather relaxing, thanks again for the target and challenge. #pdxfrank

tried the Hatsan Model 95* .22 break-barrel today. 💪

1st attempt. dunno what happened with the final five shots, center target. older i get, fewer shots i seem to last. :/
anyway, i'll definitely try again, too much fun. 🎯

*side note #AD, that M95 as anyone who owns one will probably tell ya, is an excellent sub-$200 plinker.
handsome gun, built in Turkey for what that's worth, walnut stock, shoots dimes at 25Y, i'm sure there's examples all over the place.
anyway, back to the show. 🧿

Daisy 753 with stock sights off sandbags. What kind of paper is the Best for these targets I’m getting some bad tears. It doesn’t seem like wadcutter should tear like this. Makes it hard to score. That’s why the? Beside my scoreView attachment 288136
Hello Bryan,

Really nice shooting. I use heavy cardboard for the backing and sometimes even two layers. The way my target frames are built, the actual Paper Target is offset from the steel back plate and the cardboard hold the target in place.
