Anyone tried shooting an R7 out to 50 yds. and what kind of results did you get? Recommendations for .177 pellets for this gun. I have 3-9 x 40 Hawke Airmax mounted.

50yds is very reasonable. I use either JSB 8.44gr or 10.3gr. Typically I can get around an inch on a calm day. Sometimes it may be better, sometimes it may be worse. It all really depends on how zoned in I am that day.

I use the H&N Field Target Trophies 8.64gr 4.52 head size. I shoot at 50 yards and can hit one inch spinners if the wind cooperates. Tin cans are best when strung up with paracord. I like shooting cans in half with pellet rifles. Very fun!

Oops forgot those pellets in my my comment. The FTTs are excellent in mine as well. Truethfully, most pellets shoot pretty well. It isn't a super picky gun in my experience.

I have even had some decent accuracy results with the Crosman 7.9 domed (old brown box) pellets. The rifle will shoot about any pellet you can shove in the breach accurately. German Sorcery.
