I am waiting for information on whether or not my son, Stephen, is still alive, brain damaged, etc.

Not an excuse, but something I hope you may take into account.

Thank you. Still waiting to hear from the ex-wife as I haven't had any real contact with either of them in about 20 years except when my father died in 2015 and my brother died in 2016. Forgive me, but Stephen didn't impress me then. I haven't had ANY input on how he was raised since the divorce when he was 5... 25 years ago.

Hang in there Kerry. Hopefully you can reconnect with your son, and hopefully he pulls through this.
It doesn’t matter if he impressed you in the past, the connection is one of the biggest ones there is.
Emotion can get in the way of a lot of things in life, but at least it’s like the weather and it eventually changes.
You definitely have friends here!

Thanks for ALL of the kind comments. Stephen is still on a breathing tube as of yesterday and expected to remain on it for another few days. I was told that he has been medicated to "paralyze" him, but I think she really meant medically induced coma. Still not sure. I don't get many updates from the ex-wife and not much on details when I do.

I still don't know why or what caused this, although he did recently get the COVID mRNA jab (not sure which one), or a booster.

Thanks again! It means more than you think!
